Our recent WR2's before Pickens

Of course, we need a better defense ( everyone sees that 100%) but as stated, blaming Pickens is odd.
Why do those who have a differing opinion seem to be being attacked for at least suggesting they consider trading him,if he's wanting over $30 million,

No one's blaming Pickens for the defense, but that extra 30 plus million dollars and a first round pick that they create multiple picks, that we don't have this year, will go a long way, in helping the team..

so moving on from Pickens could speed up the rebuild process and it might slightly affect the offense, but I don't think it's as much as you all are exaggerating.... You guys think this offense will take a huge step backwards and I just don't agree with that yes it will be a loss there will be an adjustment but other teams have adjusted.

Just looking at all the options keeping him could slow down the process of getting this defense rebuilt, A better left tackle, just more money and draft picks to spread around ,

it doesn't seem like an odd thing to me when we've seen in the past teams without A CD Lamb sitting there on the other side ,have gotten rid of some of their better receivers or players, but if you just want to keep receivers here how did AJ Brown end up with the Eagles That's right A Team was willing to trade him away, how about Amari Cooper multiple times ,How about Tyreke Hill, the biggest name in his prime with Super Bowl rings, Kansas City was not afraid to let him go, and they didn't have much behind him ,They didn't definitely not have a CD lamb, that was their CD lamb.

There are other examples, LIke Hopkins in his priome,

I'm just saying you have to take all information into account, you all seem scared to let George Pickens go ,when you know this team has limited draft picks, and limited money this year, and he is our only asset, the biggest asset we have that can get us more draft picks and money in a hurry.

That's all we're saying and say get rid of him none of us hate him none of us are saying we'd be upset if they find a way to keep him we're just offering you alternate opinions.

Being incompetent in the past shouldn’t affect current decision making

I don’t think anyone’s in a rush to move on from Pickens; we’re just talking about hypothetical opportunities the Cowboys could use to improve the rest of the team. With CeeDee Lamb already as a starting receiver, the extra money and draft picks from trading Pickens have to be considered as a way to quickly get the rest of the roster to at least a playoff level in one offseason. Given the lack of draft picks and big money to spend this year, plus the many holes to fill, he’s really the only player we can talk about trading who could make an immediate impact.

The Cowboys didn't make the playoffs with Pickens and he was not making much at all. With all the holes in this team now they will have to pay Pickens 30 million and how do you think that will help the roster building?
A good GM should be able to find a solid WR2 and not have to pay two WR's over 30 million a year plus a QB at 60 million.
Unfortunately, we do not have a good GM. That GM also struggled for several years to replace Amari Cooper. We wasted many draft picks and free agents trying to find a legitimate No. 2.

Now that we have finally found a legitimate No. 2 opposite Lamb, you all want to trade him for peanuts? That’s absolutely crazy. You all are as bad as Jerry on one of his bad days.

There are 100s variations to winning a Super Bowl. To say two $30M WRs will prevent a team from winning a Super Bowl w/o reference to coaching, records, support, defense, and scheduling is reaching. You surprise me .........
That is not 1 of the 100's is it?

Noah Brown, Brandon Cooks, and Jalen Tolbert, how did these options work out for us?? With all the Pickens talk so far, having a great #2 WR is a special thing. Do we want to go back to options as these, or an option like Pickens, I think we all know the answer, but is it best for this team??? Please give your thoughts
Forget recent. There's never been a wr2 like him.

They do. Go get it lol.
After we will sign Pickens, J. Williams, Aubrey, Clowney, Hoffman or Bass, how much money will be left over for defense?

Need $10M roughly for rookie class and will need at least $8M heading into the season for emergencies and we are currently $29M in the hole. So that is roughly $50M just their alone.

2 1st round picks ain't going to do it.

I never said for peanuts. Tell me what we get for him first. If it's a first and third then yes. If it's a good defensive player and a pick then yes. If not, play on the franchise tag and then get your third round compensatory pick later. That gives you 2 years to find a replacement at WR2 that doesn't cost 30 million.

Exactly! Another top 3 offense with a bottom defense and missing the playoffs again.

When our number 2 was a combo of Gallup and Cooks in 2023…..we had the number 1 scoring O in football….we don’t NEEEEED 2 number 1s to have a good O when we have Lamb, a good TE and running game (Flournoy had some good outings when Lamb was out, hands catcher, decent route runner and blocker, hard runner after catch)…..if we needed to sacrifice Pick to get a D upgrade beyond our current picks and FA, it won’t be the end of the world offensively. Want to keep Pick, but prefer to upgrade D….having 2 number 1 WRs didn’t do a dam thing as we missed the playoffs with that and no D.

2 years to find a replacement? No thanks. It's best wwe keep him. As for the 30 million, let Jerry deal with that.

Trade Pickens and draft a WR. Spend the $30M on Defense.

Lamb, Flournoy and draft a top 5 WR.
