In fairness to those who dog Romo I think he would have gotten impatient at some point, forced it, and threw it away. His ability to play the position was as good as anyone, but he just thought a bit too much of himself and always thought he could win it by himself.

Rarely does any QB have it great everywhere on both sides of the ball. I wish we could have seen him in 2016 though. I think that would have been his best chance.

Throw those 2 wanna be's out and replace them with Danny White. At lease he went to 3 NFC Championship games in a row when you broke Staubach's single season passing yard record and total TD record.

I base this on what i've seen from Romo both when he was playing and since he's been in the booth. He still exhibits it from the booth. And the defense isn't why.

Well, I think it has to do with the fact that he is sandwiched in between Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. Both of them won multiple Super Bowls and he only went to three straight conference championship games.

Of course, if Danny White had accomplished this sometime during the 21st century, he would be considered mythical, a demigod.

The Romo-Dak debate would be rendered irrelevant, neither could live up to Danny White's achievements.

Three consecutive conference championship games means Jerry would actually possess GM-cred.

Neither Romo or Dak had great coaching like White had, and Romo and Dak didn't have the benefit of playing with the same core guys on both sides of the ball for 8 to 12 years.

Would Danny White have been able to go to 3 championship games in the free agency era? I doubt it, but who knows.

Nobody ever said Dak never let the team down, but if you let some of you guys tell it, Dak let the team down every year which is truly a lie.

But with that said.... this last past season, who let the Cowboys down?

Was it the offense that was ranked 4th, 5th overall, the quarterback who ranked 1st in many quarterback categories, ranked 3rd, 4th overall in overall quarterback production, or was it a defense that was ranked 32nd in a league that consists of 32 teams?

Where does clear logic and common sense point to the Cowboy's problem this most recent season? How were we truly let down?
