Free Agency should set us up to take best player available. However, that is not how GM Jethro has operated in the past.

I hope this year is different, but he has not freed up much, if any cap space so far. Currently sitting at -$25M. We all know he can, but why is he waiting?

Restructuring Dak, CD and T. Smith should at least be a no brainer.

Does Jerry think Pickens, and more importantly his Agent, is going to fall for we can only afford so much???

At least we have seen some signs of life from the Star. Releasing Wilson and signing Williams. Hopefully the pace picks up more this week.

I think we'll only do one in free agency. We do need some depth with Murray, Sanborn and Wilson all leaving, but we've got Overshown, James, Liufau and Barron. Barron's no lock, but I'd rather we throw all our LB money into the best one we can get and throw draft picks and UDFAs at the depth spots.

We'll mostly have two true linebackers on the field (at most) at a time because we'll either be in the 3-4 or in the nickel.

Devin Bush still a young vet active disrupter had 2 pick 6’s as a LB last season on a smothering aggressive Browns unit .

Then take Sonny Styles at 12 with Shemar James getting better year 2 . Let’s buckle up because some hitting is going to occur at the Art Gallery and for once it’s the good guys .

We hear Quincy Williams a lot but that mainly seems due to him being Quentin’s brother.

He’s not even a top 50 free agent and just barely top 100.

Great run defender but a poor pass defender. He is inconsistent but is probably the best available. I am not so sure he is worth that price. He took a step back this season.

Singleton is the worst coverage LB ive seen besides Murray. Hes played for Parker if im not mistaken. I really hope he dosent end up in Dallas as a starter. I really would like them to go after Devin Bush.

I’d say Quincy for sure (maybe a team friendly deal to play with his bro)…as for #2, Kaiden Ellis, Anzalone, Dean….any one of a couple of these other would be good. I’d spend our early draft pick on corner and safety though. The FA choices in CB and Safety are not as good as the LBs are, if there’s a position on D we can feasibly improve on in FA is LB.

And after you get Devin Bush at LB sign Jalen Thompson the Cardinals safety get that position under control with Alijah Clark the most expensive UDFA signed by Dallas last season . Figure out more EDGE depth in the draft , Bush and Thompson are not bargain signings .

Looks like LB is the best position t0 get better at in FA vs DE, CB and S……the players in LB look more plentiful vs the other 3……I’d focus on secondary in the draft.

Not completely true. CD and Micah were best players available.

Think this could be the most likely outcome........
I'm not sure if the LBers will be Bush and Dean ( def possible ), but I certainly can see taking care of LBer via free agency and targeting secondary with our two 1st. The only exception is another pass rusher but if we resign Clowney, the priority may not be as much.
