Trumaine Edmunds, LB of the Bears has been given permission to seek a trade.
He's not elite like those brutes in Seattle but he had 9.5 sacks last season.

But, bloody hell, the lad, if I understand it correctly, would cost the suitor team at least $14 mil.
We can't compete because these players are too rich for our blood, as they'd say in "The Rebel."

I canna see Yoda spending significant amounts to lure talent.
Tha, lads, is our cross to bear, our albatross to wear.

The first question is, does he fit what CP is trying to accomplish? If he doesn't, it doesn't matter that he is seeking a trade. If he does, the Cowboys would have to decide if he is worth what the Bears are asking and see if a deal could be reached. The salary isn't a problem because we have cap room.

I dont know we can make that big of a jump to a conclusion bc they wont pursue a trade for one player...without a 2nd or a 3rd were already very tight on draft comp outside of the extra 1st.

As big said, a lot depends on how the DC wants to build the team and what players he thinks will fit best.

FA haven't even started so there may be moves we love, we hate, we dont make that we should, and others....only time will tell but its too early to make that big of a conclusion

Yeah I seriously don't want us just to try and please the fans by signing any and everyone. I think this coach has a plan he knows what he wants! Can't wait to see his influence

"I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often."

I forget who said this phrase but it really captures the spirit of the thing.

The best free agency off-ball LB is unlikely to get more than 14M per.

Trumaine Edmunds will be 28 before the season starts.
- Off-ball LBs seem to start declining around that age, similar to RBs (on average).

So another Bears (possible) ex LB is the key to our defense?
Yeah, nobody's ever seen anything like it before either!!!
I wonder if the Joneses will use AI to fix their roster woes....
Whatever they're using isn't working, might as well!!! They could use Allen Iverson too!!!
The Cowboys can get better without trading for a player.
The fascination that we have to use trades is beyond me, let's keep the limited picks that we have!!! Hopefully a team will want to trade with us in the first round

Id add why is he seeking a trade from an up and coming team, could be as important.

Side note NIL money will ruin nfl sooner than later.

Idk much about that player but he could be outright released if they cant find a trade, so dangle a 7th if he is what CP wants?
