Archer: LB search continues

I don't know why x doesn't shut that crap down. Just putting parody on the bio shouldn't give you a free pass to do fake news.
Whoring out for clicks and engagement

Nice deal for Lloyd.

Guess they are looking for a sub 10 mil aav lb

What do you mean? That's typical for deals. The APY is rarely the same as the cap hit the first couple of years. Guaranteed money would mean he's going to get his, but all that matters to us is how much the hit to the cap is. Yes, on the back end, how much dead money will hit could be important but if he helps us win a Super Bowl, then that doesn't really matter. This is what Super Bowl winners have done. They go for it, knowing that they will probably have to take a brief step back when the dead money drops.
There’s no way he’s going to sign a deal for less than 20 that then has an out after two years. If the cash up front is low it’s going to be packed with guaranteed money. These agents are stupid

Lloyd was always going to be out of Dallas' price range. Not too surprised here.

If they end up with Okereke they will at least get a steady veteran that can help Shamar James along. And maybe a draft pick.

I would look at Okereke or Bobby Wagner. Solid, vet presence in the middle.

Leo Chenal is intriguing
Would be funny for Wagner to finally end up here after Quinn trying so hard to get him.

Two first rounders for… a Mike LB?
The last traditional true Mike linebacker was Bradie James. It is time to get another one. There is a real chance that Dallas doesn’t have a good defensive player fall to #20. It might be a gamble, a reach or a TE, WR or OLine. Get a stud in the first, not two maybes IMO.

Cowboys will draft CB and LB in the 1st rd. Calling it now. Doesn't matter who is available.

We’re going to get Bobby Okereke and like it.

There really isn’t a ton left at LB. Devin Lloyd and Devin Bush are probably the best 2 left I would say. I like Leo Chenel having some untapped potential, but he’s unproven as a full time starter.
And then there’s the vets like Dre Greenlaw (big injury risk), Okereke, Germain Pratt, and Kaden Ellis.
Devin Lloyd agreed with Carolina 3/45
Devin Bush agreed with the Bears 3/30

There are only three or four LBs still available and none among the top 75 overall free agents

I'm not throwing in the towel yet but not getting a decent LB is pretty disappointing. Another Kenneth Murray type isn't gonna cut it

Bradie couldn't cover.

What I'd do is forget about linebacker in free agency and go get Trey Hendrickson. Then, we don't have to worry about DE/OLB and can find our LB in the draft.

I like the Gary signing because he's at least a player who has performed well even if he's not coming off his best season. Adding Hendrickson, even though he's 30/31 and coming off surgery, would give us some line combinations that could be scary to offenses.

That would be my version of busting the budget or all in based on who is out there and what we've done so far. I know it won't be the Joneses.
Well, yeah, signing the overall #1 free agent who will get the largest free agent contract in the NFL would qualify as busting the budget

If that’s the floor of fan approval, then the off season was going to be viewed as a failure with anything
