Hendrickson to Ravens

These 1st rounders mean nothing under Jerry world. How many of our 1st round picks has helped us just reach the NFC championship game in the past 30 years? Give it up for a great pass rusher since you traded your other one away last year.

To be technical the trade wasn't fully done until the physical was completed. I'm pretty sure there was something there for the Ravens to veto the trade.
Yes but thats the problem
The trade was ‘done’ so the Raiders and all othet NFL teams did their business assuming that and the Ravens pulled a switch
The NFL ‘legal tampering period’ should be binding or not otherwise it will lose it’s value

For a deal to get done that quick after them backing out of the Crosby trade makes you wonder if they were negotiating the whole time, reached a FA deal that obviously didn't require losing two first round draft picks and then used Crosby's health as an excuse to cover it.
They claim they were talking to Hendrickson the whole time and even considered adding him WITH Crosby? Who knows.

The Colts felt like they were close at one point.

The Eagles got involved late.

Tampa pursued but on a short-term deal.

Hendrickson wanted a long-term deal with a contender. Buffalo fit that mold. But Baltimore put it over the top Tuesday night.
For the negative nelly's: He would've never come here then.

It looks like Crosby was a place holder for the Ravens until they were sure they could sign Hendrickson. This stunt caused other teams that missed out on Crosby to have to do other deals.
I seriously doubt this as the Ravens lost several key FA's due to the Hendricks deal.

Correctamundo.

They need to win in the next 2 seasons at least 1.

Lamar is starting to break down and Henry isn't getting any younger. Andrews is an old diesel on its last runs. They use their 1st this year and can probably get either other the 3 WR's, Tate, Tyson or Lemon. All pro ready.

New coach and the AFC isn't as strong as it once was.

Mahomes coming off an injury and KC having to reload, Bills got Allen playing great but what else is around him?

Patriots and Broncos on the rise.

Ravens have to go all in now.

They got to pay Lamar a new deal too. Need the ROI, which is a SuperBowl.

They have to be the favorite in the AFC after this.

I still think this was all about buyer’s remorse for the Ravens. They didn’t expect the price of Hendrickson to drop so low and started thinking about losing those 2 first round picks. They used the failed physical as a chance to bail. Everyone knows that a repaired meniscus takes 3 - 4 months to completely heal. I hope every team gives them the middle finger the next time they try to make a trade.
Like Cincinnati?

Wow. I just saw the news that the Crosby trade fell apart. If I am Maxx Crosby I am super ticked off at the Ravens.

If not for the Ravens offering 2 first round picks, he would be a Cowboys today for a 1st and a 2nd.
If the Cowboys want him they can still get him.

Take that LAS VEGAS

As fast as this deal got do e tells me Cowboys were never serious about it. Jerry just milked the publicity of being associated with it.

You all, we all have been fooled by Jerry once again.

The splash signing is done. Its Jalen Thompson. Nothing else is coming

The Colts, Bills, Bucs, Commanders and Eagles all were involved in Trey Hendrickson's free agency before the All-Pro agreed to terms with the Ravens, per sources.

I'm actually somewhat glad to hear the Cowboys were never seriously interested in Hendrickson. He's older, slower and just not worth it at that price.

This stinks to high heaven. If I'm the Raiders, I'm filing lawsuits. It appears they got cold feet when they realized they preferred Trey. Raiders almost have to trade him.
No rules were broken. FA didn't officially begin until today. Basically all hand-shake deals until now.

How can you possibly know they were "nowhere to be found"?
Maybe they were furiously trying to sign him and he just chose Baltimore.
Crosby does't have a no-trade clause. He goes where Vegas sends him. Cowboys wouldn't give up two firsts to get him (Ravens did until they rescinded the deal) and they absolutely should not have done it in light of the current news. I've said it before...the defense needs to be better front to back before you expend significant draft capital on an edge rusher. We had Parsons for four years...with an abominable run defense.

I'm done with the "he'll make everybody better" mantra. I want the damn defense to actually be better position by position. THEN add your YOUNG, superstar edge beast.
