Hendrickson to Ravens

60 million guaranteed. 4 years. 28 mil AAV
Out of that 60 mil guaranteed, wouldn't shock me if a portion of that 60mil was still conditional. IE if on the 3rd day of 3rd year then base is fully guaranteed, but would have an injury guarantee.

Dallas and the budget-buster team were nowhere to be found. It’s amazing how Jerry and Capboy can live with themselves, lying to the fans like they do each and every year.

I guess that’s what billionaires do.

If he produces as expected, this is a good deal for the Ravens. Problem is, he's 31 and that's a ton of money to invest in an older DE.

For a deal to get done that quick after them backing out of the Crosby trade makes you wonder if they were negotiating the whole time, reached a FA deal that obviously didn't require losing two first round draft picks and then used Crosby's health as an excuse to cover it.
Good point

Right. That is a serious chunk of change for a guy of his age. I think the parameters of the contract is something the Cowboys didn't like. Hendrickson had been adamant about a long term deal and not some short term rental plan. But when you think about it that way a one year deal doesn't make a lot of sense when you are rebuilding your defense.

So Crosby they don’t want because he’s hurt but they sign a guy older and just as hurt. They made a fool of themselves NFL

This deal makes it fairly obvious that the Ravens had second thoughts about giving up 2 firsts for a pass rusher when they could get a comparable player for nothing. They're not even trying to hide it by announcing it this quickly. That makes me believe the medicals on Maxx are probably fine and since Cooper has seen them, he would know. Offer #20 and a conditional 2/3 next year and let's ride. Go ahead and keep Gary and your DL is good enough to compete for it all.

Whether or not the Baltimore/Crosby trade looked shady, it bothers me how QUICKLY a FO can pivot to the next asset and still improve their team. Meanwhile, Dumb and Dumber will need 4 months to find resolution in the Pickens contract. That's the difference in winning teams and losing teams, GOOD FRONT OFFICES

The Ravens didn't pivot. They had the Trey deal done before they rescinded the trade. You can call that a "good front office" or shady as hell.

ooof, not a bad deal at all.

Why Dallas wasn't in on this is puzzling other than the fact I know that Jerry and his son are cheap and likely thought just doing a few things on day one would give them cover.
Exactly. They figured fans would gush over a mid-tier trade and Fa signing. Of course some did.

But what if what he knows is damning? We simply don't know what he knows. We are left to fill in the blanks. Not a good thing in the absence of information. The Cowboys walked away from Crosby pretty quickly once their offer was rejected.

So when does Trey come in for his physical? Let's hope Tay Tay is caught singing in the background, "Karma" is the guy on the Ravens who did the Raiders dirty

This stinks to high heaven. If I'm the Raiders, I'm filing lawsuits. It appears they got cold feet when they realized they preferred Trey. Raiders almost have to trade him.

So the conspiracy theory is that the Ravens all of a sudden realized that they gave up 2 picks for Crosby and canceled the trade? Like, they didn't realize Trey was on the market before this?

From what has been reported is that the Ravens felt like Crosby wasn't the same player they traded for after the physical was completed
