FEATURED Free Agency 2026 thread

Philly just asked Goedert to put off his contract void date until Friday midnight. It puts off a $20 million cap hit. He wants to stay an Eagles player and they’d like to keep him. They signed some “ham and egger” tight ends today, just in case.

Have to wonder is this also some finagling to be able to unload Brown and acquire Crosby. Brown would be a massive dead cap hit, but free up some 2026 compensation money. Roseman is a creative guy. He’s also a weasel.
Lurie expects the Eagles to compete every year. If they pull this off, it's basically telling Fangio to win the SB with his defense.

He wants a new domed stadium. Soon. He’ll stay “all in” to the degree he can. I don’t think the Eagles will be in the mix this season.

A domed stadium in Philly? What a wuss copout. It's not like they get tons of snow or even bitter cold. If Seattle is exposed to the elements, Philly can be too. What say you, @Aerolithe_Lion? You like a dome there or no?

@Aerolithe_Lion strikes me a cheese and wine type. Im sure he would like a dome and a PA pumping classical music (Flight of the Valkyries would be cool though)

Im pretty sure he was up in her referencing Plato before

I still have a house in South Jersey so I don’t have to spend summer in Florida. This year there was plenty of snow and even zero degrees! Seattle weather as far as temps has less variance and is milder than the Philly area.

Oh I know. I have relatives back east and I flew out there specifically for that snowstorm in January to play in the snow with my nephews. Was cold but more than perfect for football. They get decent snow in a La Niña year which this was but don't recall a Philly game being affected. I mentioned Seattle because their games are routinely rained on.
