One thing's for sure, they can't keep having dumb mistakes like lining up offsides continue helping offenses. I can't tell you how many stops were thwarted by dumb mistakes.

I think Hill has to play more under control. He is a potential three phase guy, but playing out of control could point to lack of instincts. If the Cowboys dont like, its possible that is what they are seeing

That's what appeals to Parker. He's not the most athletic guy (kind of stiff) but still has sideline to sideline speed. He might have man coverage issues against fast RBs.

Ya but Liufau was never really good at anything. He was all project in every phase. Hill is a legitimately good player. Liufau wasnt even a quality starter in college

I think they are going to chess piece him. I believe one of the things that was mentioned by either No-Schott or Parker is that when they first talked, they discussed what the plan was for Overshown. I think they see him as an ILB who can slide to the outside as a pass rusher at times or essentially play more like a safety at times. If he gets it all the way back, I think they want to take advantage of his speed and burst to cause problems.

If Overshown can give us a healthy season playing like his old self this Defense has Just went to the middle of the pack and we just need to hit on the draft.

I’m not convinced he’s a better inside Mike LBer. He would be a great replacement for Overshown if he doesn’t get back to what he was, but we need a Mike.

We need more than a Mike. I really think they should go after Wagner and call it a day. At least we won't need to worry about wasting resources getting an MLB.

It’s funny that everyone seems to want Sonny Styles and not Anthony Hill. They’re very similar type of players.

Hill and C.J. Allen are two completely different players, and Hill is being asked to do things that don’t really fit his game. His value is as a pass rusher. Let him attack the quarterback and he’ll thrive. Try to force him into a true MLB role, and it’s probably not going to work.

If we end up drafting Hill, going after Wagner as the middle linebacker should be the move. Wagner would steady the entire defense and let Hill play to his strengths. That combo would upgrade the linebacker group almost right away and put everyone in a better position to succeed.

It is just one of many things that could happen before, during, or after the draft. The talk last year was the Cowboys have to get a receiver and that didn't happen until May 7th and they ended up getting the best receiver.

You're right, but I doubt there will be a better option available than Brooks. And, by knowing they have a good MLB, they won't have to reach during the draft.

I like Rodriguez too, but just like Allen I am drafting him for his run defense not his ability to cover. Styles separates himself cause of his special coverage skills
