Seahawks and JSN have finalized a 4-year, $168.6M deal

ESPN Sources: Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history.

The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver.

The deal was confirmed by @WINSportsGroup.

Noteworthy for the Pickens negotiations.

Can’t say Pickens is as good as JSN but his agent certainly will be looking at $40 million a season and 100+ million guaranteed. Signing Pickens to a long term contract will be difficult. The Cowboys plan is to tag him twice in my opinion.

and once again the true incompetence of the jones boys is there for all too see

THOUGH if they never intended to keep him long term *despite public statements to the contrary* it is not bad
that is of course if they actually HAD A PLAN>>>

No, because of his other issues but he will be in the range of 35-38 mil

Remember the next to last Dak contract (2021)discussion here at the zone.At the start was a discussion of dollars might be as high as $20M it keep creeping higher. it became $40M. Five years time now top WR's getting $40M.
that is why those claiming the increase in the Cap always makes the cap not important are wrong

No way he will be paid 40 per year, but $34 luke CeeDee is the price. The Rams are in win now, and will draft a WR at 13. Trade him and draft, CB, LB, WR

Well, if some on here thought paying over 40mil for an edge rusher was crazy, do you want to keep a WR that gets 5-10 targets a game that could near the same AAV?

And in 3-4 years we'll have a WR eclipse the 50mil AAV mark.
The cap is going up at such a crazy rate that almost every position will be reset on a yearly basis
