Yeah, and I know Davis did well in spot duty....but he is getting to the point that he no longer can be considered the future. He will be 28 in November....usually backs start to slow down around 30. I don't know how much longer they will keep him around.Mafah is a bigger back. Got some wiggle to him. Reminds me of Javonte. Has functional football speed and quickness. Will also seek out defenders and thump them. Needs reps and he can earn a roster spot.
Oh, please don't get me wrong — I wasn't trying to suggest Javonte is the same as MB3, just the closest thing we've had to that style — but no, not the same.I dont think ive seen someone run like MB3 since MB3. He was really freaking entertaining to watch, just an absolute animal. I guess you'd have to go with Lynch for a similar style, but those guys are pretty rare. Its hard to match that tenacity. NY might have a guy who plays with similar aggression.
Heh-heh. The term is "scapegoat". And I don't know if he was so much that as much as he wasn't being utilized but they didn't want to lose him, so they made up some bull about him being hurt so they could stash him on IR...exactly. Just bizarre. Seems like he was escape goat for the season.

I would like to see Mafah get some extended looks in preseason....I don't expect Javonte to get much time if any.
Right he has a good 40 he's the next star lolMeh, I dunno. We have a strong history of over hyping rbs as well. Depends on his 40 time. Lol
The draft will tell us a lot on where they value the current RB situation vs the rookie class.True
..he had some descent runs Vs Philly first game. Also in the 2nd game. Then was injured.Occam’s razor time
He just didn’t show enough to the coaches to earn more time
I remember someone telling me Deuce was at least as good as Tony Pollard. He was stating it as a preordained fact, like I was stupid for not knowing.Right he has a good 40 he's the next star lol
Are you...complaining?Whatever RB they get fans on here won't be happy and will throw a fit
Na, I got you and agree. You just reminded me of how awesome he was.Oh, please don't get me wrong — I wasn't trying to suggest Javonte is the same as MB3, just the closest thing we've had to that style — but no, not the same.
Glad someone else sees it. Mafah's are all over the draft and all over the NFL. Easy to pick one up.Mafah was pretty much covered up in some kind of mysterious season long is he hurt or not situation. I was/am not as big a fan as many here are as I think he not only has durability issues but is a little too slow for the pro game.
jmo
Javonte is better than MB3.Oh, please don't get me wrong — I wasn't trying to suggest Javonte is the same as MB3, just the closest thing we've had to that style — but no, not the same.
Yeah, I remember some of that.I remember someone telling me Deuce was at least as good as Tony Pollard. He was stating it as a preordained fact, like I was stupid for not knowing.
I get where you're coming from and maybe you're right but would you agree he's not as violent as a runner?Javonte is better than MB3.
No I'm speaking in jazzland talk, that's all he says lolAre you...complaining?
Crazy!!!!! You got to love this placeI remember someone telling me Deuce was at least as good as Tony Pollard. He was stating it as a preordained fact, like I was stupid for not knowing.
