Me pointing out Eagles flaws doesn’t mean Cowboys haven had poor GMing. And for the record I only point them out when Eagles make a move and it gets hyped. My point isn’t the moves won’t work. It’s that it may not work. I said it when they traded for Dotson and Metchie. I said it when they traded for Tank. To be fair I also said it when they traded for Phillips who did play well. Price tag probably got too ridiculous. Move cost them a 3rd.

My views on Eagles or any team isolated from cowboys. I don’t believe because I’m a Cowboy fan I can’t be critical of other teams.

Its just that I feel because of poor roster building the Cowboys have now become 2nd to that organization and now I am somewhat concerned with how Harbaughs hiring in New York could even send the Cowboys to a 3rd place type organization. Within the freaking division.

So I can't help but notice when rivals seem to be improving more so than what I think the Cowboys are in my personal opinion.

That's why I fallback on comparing with my negativity because the Cowboys are so far behind when talking any post season success.

We have to keep it in context though, we’re taking about a receiver who was once perennial all pro vs a guy making 6m. If Hollywood is 1/3rd of Tyreek that’s a huge win for philly

Well I’ll say this. I see the whole division right now having some interesting roster bulding and making moves i personally wouldn’t make.

I would’ve never hired Harbaugh.
I would’ve addressed linebacker in free agency if I was the Cowboys and still drafted some.
I would’ve never hired Quinn. I believe a young qb needs an offensive minded head coach.
I wouldn’t have traded a 3rd for Phillips if I didn’t have a deal in place to sign him. I get they get a comp pick.
Commanders had a solid offseason. I expected better players for a team with that cap space.
I like what Eagles have done if they keep AJ. Nice solid group. If they trade AJ and now Wicks or BROWN is the second receiver? Ehh.

Cautionary tale? What's he going to do if he doesn't get traded; throw a stack of $25,000 across the living room in frustration? Give me that "cautionary tale" any day. Who in their right mind is going to tell their agent to sign for less just in case they run afoul of team management someday? That agent would be like, "excuse me, I have to take a call, be right back" and never be heard from again.

I’m only saying the big money contracts work both ways. The player can be as stuck with the team as the team is stuck with them. For example, even if Prescott agreed to be traded, is any team going to trade for that contract? No.

It is when you factor in what you’re getting. Philly traded a 5 and a 6 for day 1 starter. Dallas traded a 4 for a guy who is 50/50 to be active on gameday

Not only that, but Philly will probably be drafting midway or towards the back end of the draft. Their 5th and 6th round picks are not worth most 4th round picks.

I was just referring to your claim that a 5th and 6th is equal to a 4th. In the majority of cases it is not. No one would trade a 4th for a 5th and 6th unless they were idiots. Sure, you can package some high end 5ths and 6ths for a back end 4th and it might work. But 95% of the time it's not a match.

Well the first pick in the 4th vs the last pick in the 5th and 6th is not equal.

But if it’s a mid or late round 4th? It’s the same to me. Same caliber of player. You can get your Chauncey Gholston in the 4th or 5th round. Or your Ryan Russell’s.

Agreed. It's very close to even with a back end pick in the 4th.

We threw the ball a lot more than Green Bay. I like Flournoy, but Wicks is a more established to this point. But if Flournoy has another good year he'll be worth a fifth-round pick to if another team is interested.
