I'm only trading up for 2 players, Bailey at 6 or Downs at 9!

Good with moving up to 6 for Bailey only if it is the trade where we get 39 back.

I am fine moving up for Downs, Reese, Styles aa long as we meep 20 and 92.
None of those things are happening.

In my opinion, Bailey is heads and shoulders the best edge rusher in the class. He checks every box you look for the position and is athletic to drop in coverage if need be. He would complete our pass rush for the position.

Downs plays at the non premium position, but is the ultimate weapon. Perfect fit for that nickel role and most likely would even have the green dot calling the defense, he has next level football intelligence.

Reese, Styles, Delane, Bain aren't worth giving up our precious draft capital for as they all have some questions in their skillsets.

If I cannot get Bailey or Downs, I am hoping for a trade back scenario to take place. Take advantage of the depth in this draft and load up on improving the overall talent on defense.
Reece is by far a better prospect than Bailey and the only defensive prospect that would have been a legitimate top 10 potential in a normal draft.

I disagree, he is more of a better version of Jalen Walker, who was the 15th pick last yr.

We will trade up and had we stayed either would have came to us especially downs

And Bailey has Robert Griffen vibes, ignoring his contain duties in order to pad his stats.

It comes down to do you want a complete football player or a stat padder willing to hang his teammates out to dry in order to chase his next contract?

I’d trade up for Reese too if possible.

He fixes a lot of problems for this defense.

He is what people think Micah is when it comes to being a legit pass rush guy as well as a linebacker.

Micah is a great pass rush guy with awful instincts as a linebacker.

I’d move up to 3 for Reese or Bailey
I’d rather move up to 6 for styles than trade down
I’d move up to 6 or 9 for Downs

I’m not really interested in collecting players - yes we need a lot of them but this isn’t the class to collect players. It’s too weak.. the chances of you hitting on multiple picks even for the players to just become average are incredibly low

Styles has to be generational to make it worth it.

If I’m moving up I’m doing it for a pass rusher.

If I’m not getting Reese or Bailey I’m sitting & waiting.

I would use this draft to build a foundation than make big risks for a linebacker or safety.

Trade down & get as many top 100 picks as possible.

You’d better throw Stules in there with ‘em - he’s gonna be a game wrecker.

You can trade down and acquire as many top 100 picks. How many do you think are going to hit on? People around here think trading down means hitting on every single pick - and I’m not directing this at you at all. You can have 6 top 100 picks - you might find 2 or 3 average starters. People in here think all 6 picks will hit , it’s not how it works and I know you know that.

Many elite edge rushers aren’t great against the run as they tend to do the same

The one's to Baileys extent end up journeymen pass rush specialist because their liability as run defenders ends up outweighing their value as a starter!

I'm not wrong though. We "filled all our needs" in 2009 by collecting picks. And wound up with a bunch of bad players
Your 100% correct getting more picks with this front office doesn’t mean filling more holes, I’d rather take advantage of higher picks of quality over their dart throw picks of quantity and bunch of special teamer’s that are out of the league in 3 years. Who cares if we have/get 12 picks trading down for the Deuce Vaughn’s of the draft.

That is pretty much Parsons and he got that huge contract, elite pass rushers are in high demand even if they are one trick ponies

If they project Downs as the Green Dot player, then trading up for him makes more sense.
