Everytime we got to do the 2nd.contract, we get 1st rounders and juice out the 5 year options and do a 1 year franchise tag. That's the new way.

It wouldn't be so bad if the Owners didn't use the salary cap rising as an excuse to raise prices of tickets, concessions, parking, etc. It's not like they don't already get plenty from advertising, broadcasting, etc.

Cowboys tickets are getting out of whack.

Last season one player played the season on the tag. Seven others that were tagged reached new agreements before the season. This season only three players were tagged.

Hockey doesn’t create the revenue the NFL does. The CBA basically splits revenue 49% players, 51% owners. That means as revenue rises players get more of the revenue. And revenue is rising, right now fairly fast.NFL revenue dwarfs NHL revenue and is still rising. Salaries will continue to rise as long as revenue continues to rise. Right now there’s no end in sight

With 2 years left on his deal the AAV looks outrageous, but really it's not bad at all. Houston has control over him for the next 5 years and the extension part of this doesn't kick in until 2028 where the cap may explode another 15-20% by then.

Plus he's an elite player at his position and already shown up in the play offs. 8 sacks and 3 forced fumbles in 6 games. I have no issue paying a blue-chip player their worth especially if the team is riding a rookie QB contract.

I really don't understand the Jones Boys reluctance to sign contracts early. How many years now and contracts keep going up? If you know you want the player, pony up. Stop acting like we are in 1950 and some handshake deals are going to save you money. Read the room. It's not about how great a salesman you are. Next player up gets more money until someone says this is insane.

There is no way Bailey or Reese fall out of the top 3 now. That is quarterback money. Parsons is now a bargain.

Just the tip of the iceberg... fans have to remember that, according to the CBA, players get 48% of league-wide revenues. In other words...it's a reflection of how much the owners are making.

BTW......I'm expecting Stoud, Caleb and Mayes to break Dak's $60M level, especially Caleb and Mayes

What's interesting........notice how early the Texans are extending him. Not waiting on 5th year option. Jerry could have saved a ton of money if he had done the same with Micah immediately following his 3rd year.

The irony is they extended Dak’s third contract early and still nobody has come close to that 60 million dollar a year figure.

Some teams have defenses that are better than their offenses, so they pour their resources into defense and try to be middle of the road on offense. We are the exact opposite. If Houston’s QB hadn’t regressed so much from his rookie season, they might be building around him instead.
