Cowboys look to Draft Culture Changing 1st Rounders

Cowboys rarely fire anyone

It’s a cesspool of nepotism and cronyism.

Will’s boss has been there for 32 years. The two of them probably have socks that old.

Jerry - 36 years - GM
Stephen - 36 years - COO
Charlotte - 36 years - Marketing
Jerry Jr - 36 years - Sales

Todd Williams - 32 yrs - VP Football Ops
Craig Gliebert - 36 yrs - Travel/Logistics
Jason McCay - 14 yrs - Football Tech
Adam Prasifka - 26 yrs - Salary Cap
Brian Wansley - 31 yrs - Player Dev.
Will McClay - 25 yrs - VP Personnel
Jim Maurer - 37 yrs - Head of Training
Charlotte is the only one of yhe Jones that deserves to be involved....my hope is she ends up in a leadership capacity when Jerry passes

We’ll see.

I’ve met the a few times and she is a pleasant person.

I just don’t think we’ve seen that she has interested in the football side of things

The only time in recent memory she dipped her toe in was with Micah when she went on thr family media tour to assert the families “control” of his future

Other than that she sticks to the marketing and PR side

What does Styles play on the field say. Does his play warrant top 10. What position will he play in the NFL. Does he has the awareness to play MLB.

I See Manny Lawson 2.0

Culture changing needs to start in the front office.

The culture changes the players, the players don't change the culture here. The country club culture always wins out.

He’s top 5 on almost every board, including the consensus big board that averages the top 150 big boards nationwide

He would likely be the MLB and wear the green dot for the Cowboys which would mean he is the defensive playcaller. He had the green dot at Ohio State

  • Height: 6'5"
  • Weight: 244 lbs
  • Arm Length: 32 7/8"
  • Hand Size: 10"
  • Wingspan: 80.88"
  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.46 seconds
  • Vertical Jump: 43.5 inches
Here is his breakdown from Brugler

A three-year starter at Ohio State, Styles played weakside linebacker in defensive coordinator Matt Patricia’s 4-2-5 base scheme (and wore the green dot in 2025).

After playing multiple safety roles for two seasons, he transitioned to linebacker as a junior and then became an All-American as a senior, combining for 182 tackles over his final two seasons.

He was awarded the “Block O” jersey in 2025 and voted a senior captain (receiving the most votes on the team).

Styles is a freaky height/weight/speed athlete with fluid change of direction and the playmaking range to cover every blade of grass. He processes quickly and delivers pop at contact as a downhill player, rarely missing tackles thanks to his ability to violently overwhelm the ball carrier.

Though he plays with terrific reaction quickness, the next step in his development is to improve his anticipation, especially in coverage, so he can make more plays on the football.

Styles is an outstanding size-speed athlete who is comfortable in space, reacts well to what he sees and plays with the physicality to mark up the stat sheet. With elite subpackage value, he has the talent to become an impact linebacker early in his NFL career.

Oh Boy. The should be interesting.
Not only do thy need playmakers. And tout BPA. Now another criteria is they must be able to change the culture of the team. Not just on the field but in the locker room as well.

Does this limit players they are looking for?
Does this mean Bain is off the board, because of his 2 year old off the field incident, of where a passenger died from the car accident. That he left the scene of, supposedly. I don't really know all that much about it.

Or does "Culture Changing Players" really mean nothing to discuss. As it is saying the same thing as High Character Players"
But they always come up with some what they think is cute saying. But it really sounds dumb at they same time.
Rookies are not going to come in and change a culture. Coaching and Veterans set the culture.

When does hiring a new employee change the Culture of a business???

The culture was changed when Micah and Diggs we moved off the team.

I was thinking the same thing. You could almost say , we need Styles more after who we signed in FA. Not saying Downs would’ve awesome. But Styles would help fill a massive hole
The bad thing is what he would cost to get him.
Basically 2 first round picks to get 1 VG player, or you could get 2 really good players.
I like getting say downs and rodriguez , better than 1 player in styles.

last season 2 rookies changed the NYG's culture and motivated the whole team.
