I think it is becasue everyone is expecting the Giants to be rebuilding under Harbaugh so this falls into the plan to get younger and grow the team with Dart.

And my viewpoint is not thinking all of a sudden the same philosophy will change.
I stated many times I do not like how the FO does things.

But I can't control that. But I can control that I get a little enthusiastic on a new and upcoming season of football. Where anything can and will happen, in spite of ownership.
Not to be doom and gloom at every little thing.

Jazz, I was right there with you for many years.

Football and the Cowboys were very emotinal for me. I've decided to take a step back. Reduce my participation in football fourms, and taken a suspicious 'wait and see' attitude with a healthy dose of skepticism.

If the Cowboys hoist the Lombardi I will be right there cheering them on, and if it happens on Jerry's watch I will tip my cap towards him.

But such an outcome doesn't let him off the hook for the last 30 years, and more important my current shift away from thinking each season is actually a promise for the championship.

That's exactly it. Cowboys who had been a playoff team 3 of the previous 4 years weren't expected to trade away a key defensive piece especially post draft when the picks can't even be used till the following year.

So what has Harbaugh actually done than far outshines what Dallas has done this off season.
It is all on paper at this point. They made a trade to get the 10th pick. Wow.

And I read arti where it said the Bengals got the better deal on that trade.

Like you said, on paper. Cincy gets the better deal if DLaw plays like two years ago. If he continues to play like last year, the gnats win it.

And to add to that, who the heck knows if Harbaugh is calling the shots? He probably has a major influence but we don’t know for sure.

So you can unequivocally say that the cowboys improved. But if someone doesn’t agree they are wrong?

Harbaugh has already improved the team by adding a top ten pick. That’s actual tangible evidence.

Are you seriously going to leave out the other part of the equation? And I’m going to intentionally leave out other ones. They lost what might be the best NT in all of football. I guess that doesn’t matter.

Makes me so much happier we won those meaningless games mid season when we all knew getting to the playoffs wouldn’t matter anyways.

Right. How about that last Giants game where we were trying to tank. Dak could have thrown for 500 yards that day had he played the whole game. The Gents were terrible even though our D might have been worse….

When was the last time Jerry traded up to a better draft position? Has it happened since 1995?

Harbaugh isn't the best thing since sliced bread, but he's at least attempting to improve the gnats chances at winning. All Jerry wants is to be relevant and interesting.

He did a good job?

Where was his offense in the Carolina and Chicago games last year?

He didn’t do a good job. He had a super talented offense that over performed.

And under performed in games they should have absolutely killed the opponent.

Red zone still had issues and the fact this team was one of the worst in the NFL in the second part of the season at scoring in the second half of games is also concerning.

Teams were catching on to his offense to en the season last year. I don’t think he had a good year at all. And I have a bad feeling this year he’s going to be exposed and we’re going to be stuck with him.

If it wasn’t for Aubrey last year we’re probably picking in the top 8. Does anyone realize that or?

Dallas has an extra pick as well from the Parsons trade.
But that doesn’t count does it. So what they now have two top 10 picks. Dallas has players in return with their trade. Both that were 1st round picks.
