Video: The Movie Trailer thread

A new Matrix? Please no. The last one was so bad. So, so bad. I pretend it doesn't even exist in the Matrix universe. Hollywood just can't keep their grimy hands off things, can they?
I have you beat by two. I pretend the first Matrix film is the only one. There was only one Matrix movie. Change my mind.

Edit: SPOILERS AHEAD - Even though these movies are 20+ years old.

I know that's a somewhat popular sentiment, but I honestly didn't mind the 2nd and 3rd. While yes, the first was the best, I didn't mind them expanding on the story.

I thought it was interesting to see the machine and human elements become more intertwined. Seeing Agent Smith trying to take over the Matrix while not understanding the human element was fascinating........like the scene where he was asking Neo why he keeps getting up to fight: "Why, Mr. Anderson? Why do you persist?" He couldn't comprehend things like choice, purpose, sacrifice, or irrational human behavior.

I also thought seeing how the Matrix actually worked was interesting, with the different versions of the Matrix and previous versions of "the One" being part of the equation. I just enjoyed how the movies got much more philosophical.
Anyways, I digress. I thought they were fine. The fourth one, however, was a complete catastrophe and I refuse to acknowledge it exists.

Yes, and I feel the same about Alien. There was only one Alien movie.

And bty, there was only one Planet of the Apes movie. It came out in 1968.
