Definitely a smart move to give those songs to the voice of Tone Loc. I figured someone else wrote Loc's songs. He was one and done. At least it allowed him to grab some movie roles like Ace Ventura.Young MC, the rapper behind "Bust a Move" from the late 80s also wrote "Wild Thing", the song "Tone Loc" was most known for singing.
You're forgetting Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc .. which Young MC also wroteDefinitely a smart move to give those songs to the voice of Tone Loc. I figured someone else wrote Loc's songs. He was one and done. At least it allowed him to grab some movie roles like Ace Ventura.
Did he forget, or did he learn the lesson and decide not to mess around with the funky cold Medina? You're forgetting Funky Cold Medina by Tone Loc .. which Young MC also wrote![]()
ouch!!!!!!I learned tonight that cast-iron dutch ovens get extremely hot! I braised some short ribs for dinner(all day cook) and ran out of room on the stove to put it when out of the oven. So, I stacked two kitchen towels on the marble countertop thinking that was a good idea.
About three minutes later, I hear a loud pop. Sure enough, it left an 8” crack in the countertop. Needless to say, the wife isn’t happy and I am probably sleeping.on the couch tonight
The good news is you have to really look for the crack, barely visible.

Not last night, but a few years ago I learned that not all Pyrex cookware is the same. I was making shrimp scampi in a 9x13 Pyrex pan. I had done this many times before. I put it in the oven with butter and garlic and when I took it out I placed it on the stovetop and the Pyrex pan literally exploded in my hands. Millions of pieces of the glass were all over the kitchen. I had to throw out the scampi too!I learned tonight that cast-iron dutch ovens get extremely hot! I was shopping one day and picking out some bell pepper in the produce section when some old guy came up to me and told me about the 4 lobes and 3 lobes. He told me one of them was good for eating raw and the other for cooking but I forget which was which. I buy 4 lobes for making stuffed peppers because they can be cut so that both sides sit well in a pan. I buy the 3 lobes for cutting up in a salad or veggie plate.
