It is embarrassing that Jones' just had this epiphany a few hours before the draft.

This could have been announced with time for multiple teams to make an offer and get it done before the draft started.

Then we could have had more options to trade up with an extra 1st round pick.

We traded for Pickens knowing he was not going to sign and wanted to play out the year.

b.) Used for a early 2nd rounder...possible getting Jacob Rodriguez or CJ Allen
c.) Used for a 2027 1st rounder in a stacked draft

Call me a pessimist, but I'm not thrilled at the idea of stockpiling picks in a crappy draft class. Of course, they do need quantity, so extra bites of the apple will help, no doubt.
