Could go down as one of the all time great drafts

7th round in 2027.
I like that better. Probably just because the draft's not over for us after this round. Of course, I kind of expect us to trade one of the fourth-rounders to pick up some extra picks. I'm hoping it's 137 and not 112 or 114, though. Those picks are early enough in the round that we should be able to get some Day 2 players that slipped.

I'd kind of like one of the corners (maybe Abney) and RB Mike Washington Jr. Maybe slide back into the fifth for Kaleb Proctor or Renee Konga if they make it that far. Would really like Nadame Tucker, too.

Can we please stop counting acquired veterans as draft picks? No one will look back at this draft in 5 years time raving about how the team picked Williams, Pickens and Winters.

The Downs pick alone makes this draft an A. Lawrence and Barham are projects that aren’t great or terrible picks. How those guys develop will determine the overall quality of the class.

These are the only facts that make it a fantastic draft.

Jerry stayed in Jerrys lane.

The coaches and scouts did what they did, and to us fans, it seems the team got what the team needed.

That is what the fans and the team deserved.

The rest is speculation. We have potential, that is all. Very few rookies come in and dominant, very few come in and dominat their own position. Stop listening to the media who hypes, "yo if you pop off in Pop Warner Football you re going to dominant in the NFL. No, its an entirely different beast that has swallowed more players than not.

That's basically what the Rams did for half a decade with their draft picks- turn them into veterans.

But I get what you are saying.

How so? This team is a long way from being a contender and 1 player isn't going to get them there

Because Downs is a generational talent at his position. Getting a player like that outside the top 10 is an absolute steal.

McCoy isn't a red shirt. He can play right now. Not sure who jerry is referencing.

I feel bad for the kid. He would have made more money going back to college at this point.
He would be better served at this point to go the Collins route and have his agent tell teams he won’t sign if drafted. He could then negotiate the best deal as a free agent.

Won't disagree, but still, it's only 1 player. Maybe I would have more confidence if Jerry hadn't watched free agency from the outside----again. This one draft pick could have been supplemented through free agency, but it didn't happen.

Some here on CZ have said Jerry tries to build the roster through the draft, and we're seeing it yet again. It's Jerry's way of remaining 'relevant and interesting', I guess.

I think with his uncertainty on his future I think it’s in his best interest to be on a team.

And he will be. But he can leverage competition between multiple teams as a FA. Not just money, but conditions and what opportunity is best for his circumstance.

1st Downs and Lawrence
2nd Quinnen Williams
3rd Pickens and Barham
4th T.B.D. x 3
5th Dee Winters
Sift the projections meet expectations and what we really see yes I wouldn't get ahead of yourself i'm trying to keep my excitement down in my expectations low Instead of vice versa..

You are right but who would Dallas have taken at 44, 76, and 152 that would give them the same impact as Quinnen Williams, George Pickens, and Dee Winters respectively?
I was only commenting on how so players not in the trade were lumped in. Just messing around
