Thats him being scored purely as an edge rusher. he wont be a pass rushing edge. Hes an early down 3-4 end or will move inside. His athleticism is fine for his likely role on defense.

One thing seems to be a theme though. This guys Dallas is drafted on defense all seem to be high energy guys. The all look relentless. No Mazi's in this group at least not energy wise.

Yeah, he’s definitely no edge. He’s an inside 5T, 4i guy that brings toughness, effort, and strength to the defense. Teams need guys like him… particularly when Parker is trying to set the tone in a new defense.

I actually like this pick. It is the OT in the 4th that I’m not crazy about.

IMO if Overton was 3 inches taller he would be Chauncey Golston. Not a bad player but not someone that is going to move the needle.

While true. I think they sign a current free agent as opposed to expending draft capital.

I don't think they feel the same. They have Overshown, Winters, James and Barham at ILB and Gary, Eze, Lawrence and Houston at OLB. There are a few others as well, but other than Sam Williams, I don't know if any of them should be expected to make the roster.
