maybe we wait till they cut him? What are we giving up for Brooks? We don’t have a 4th or 5th next year.
If you put a 4th round pick on the PS, he is guaranteed to get poachedComon' AC. Put him on the PS and see what 2027 brings.
Little-known fact, his parents actually tried to register his name as 'Left Tackle Overturned', but the staff at the records office misheard because his dad was talking through a mouthful of rare bison steak.Full name is Lawrence Taylor Overton.
Pick swap: give them our 3rd for their 4th.What are we giving up for Brooks? We don’t have a 4th or 5th next year.
Yeah I don’t think we are a Brooks way but that would impress me and show me where their head is at as far as contending. We get brooks after this draft and this defense is going to turn heads in a positive way
A 4th round pick so he can go on the PS for his rookie season? Then why waste a 4th round pick for someone you intend to place on the practice squad? Why not use that 4th round pick on someone you plan on making the 53 man roster instead?Comon' AC. Put him on the PS and see what 2027 brings.
It seems like most modern defenses have two traditional linemen in three point stances and two standup ends. Then there are two traditional linebackers, a box safety, corners, and deep safeties. Some DL depth. I’m assuming the plan is to play him as a down lineman in the 3-4.
I question how much 3-4 we’ll actually play given how much nickel is used, but that’s besides the point.
We’ve added some speed to the defense in the back 7 that we were sorely lacking. And some smarter players, too.
Drafting for need usually blows up in our facedon’t mind the player, just not understanding the commitment to edge when we have already people on the roster and drafted 2 dudes already. their were ILB on the board with a bigger need IMO
I generally like the pick even though I’m not overly familiar with the player. Taking guys late from big schools…increases your odds they pan out IMOSolid pick. All the draft nicks didn’t like him because they thought he was going in the 2nd round. Good 4th round pick.
Overton will play up front with his hand in the dirt.don’t mind the player, just not understanding the commitment to edge when we have already people on the roster and drafted 2 dudes already. their were ILB on the board with a bigger need IMO
Seems like it. Competition for that second DE spot in the 3-4 fronts and can play inside next to Quinnen in some 4-3 sets. Not sure we see him as an OLB at all. It's more like a 3/5 tech maybe takes OSA's place not really although you could play an OLB/ linebacker in this game but II think he more for the inside..
I thought going into today that we needed more competition for that third spot on the line. Quinnen and Clark are obviously starters, but Ogbonnia and Bullard are questionable in that role so it's good to add competition.Overton will play up front with his hand in the dirt.
Lawrence will be a 3-4 OLB
I think while we got three edge players, only one of them (Lawrence) will actually be an edge. Barham is going to start out at inside linebacker and Overton will be an interior lineman or 3-4 DE.don’t mind the player, just not understanding the commitment to edge when we have already people on the roster and drafted 2 dudes already. their were ILB on the board with a bigger need IMO
