Key player on our team period.as BP said
"Don't start with the anointing oil just yet."
and anyone taking their cues from the Front Office shills need their heads examined
THAT SAID
I believe Downs will be THE KEY PLAYER on our D
Just when I think you're not funny ever, you do this lol!!! Yes let's get the anointing oils out!!!!!!!!Did they go ahead and get him measured for his HOF jacket?
It's not the highest rookie contract ever by any stretch, but George Pickens is going to be pissed.
they already have, knowing this team, he'll trip over some grass in practice and will be out 3-6 weeksLet's see him play first. The San Diego Chargers were pretty high on Ryan Leaf back in 1998 when they drafted him 2nd overall. That didn't turn out so well, did it....
I'm certainly not saying Downs will be a bust, but I'm hesitant to put him up on a pedestal before he's played his first game. The NFL isn't the same as college - he might excel, but he might not.

He is yesIs M. Lawrence still unsigned? I hadn't seen any update. But, I'm sure he'll sign soon enough.
You complain about people mentioning him in the hall and you are the first to say it and only one lolDid they go ahead and get him measured for his HOF jacket?

Crazy thing is….a lot of guys who hold Lombardis are Pro Bowlers lolFine - guess we'll see.
By the way, I hope the goal isn't pro bowls, but rather the game played the following week. Tom Brady once said he doesn't give a spit about pro bowls, he wanted to compete for Lombardi's. I wish everyone in Frisco had the same mindset.
Math does not check out.True, but the odds are 95% that he's at least a perennial pro bowler.
Mastodons were taller than mammoths. Mammoths were wider.actually two different versions of the ancient elephant
Mammoths were bigger
Do we have both types on defense.Mastodons were taller than mammoths. Mammoths were wider.
Mammoths were also heavierMastodons were taller than mammoths. Mammoths were wider.
Like my oldest daughter's mother: wider and heavier.Mammoths were also heavier

I think we can all agree with that sentiment.Fine - guess we'll see.

I liked it as a positive because of the Hall of Fame Jacket quote. Anybody that knows football and has watched Caleb Downs play football, realizes the jacket is a possibility. I haven't been this excited about a Dallas first round pick since DeMarcus Ware, real excited to watch Downs play for the Cowboys. Are you trying to get ignored by the entire site?
He better be or this place is going to be unbearable.I liked it as a positive because of the Hall of Fame Jacket quote. Woodson should be in the hall of fame why he is not, is a mystery. Downs has what it takes as well to reach this honor and that gold jacket one day, no doubt about it.Lol, to the top part, may make it in before Woody (should already be in & our last great safety).
Downs will be special, a difference maker, can't miss type of talent. He and Thompson look like a solid pair of safeties, exciting times and Christian Parker has a secondary guru type of football mind.He better be or this place is going to be unbearable.
