He can initiate an offense, is an excellent passer, can drive, shoot (near 40% from behind the arc), and is a 3 level scorer. Good rebounder, fundamentally sound, etc.I’ll
Be honest….i don’t see it with Boozer. Good player for sure. Easily could see a Elton Brand type
Career. I think Wilson has a star ceiling though. Jumper isn’t the best but he can develop that.
His knock is he’s not an above the rim player.
Defensively, he’s very fundamentally sound. Not going to be a great weakside rim protector. But the offense is incredible. He’s not even 19.
Wilson - you have to project more. He has the physical tools to be a good help defender. But he’s isn’t the creator Boozer is on offense not the shooter.
Wilson has some Jermaine O’Neal to his game.
I think Wilson’s floor is higher than people give credit for; but I also think Boozer’s ceiling is higher than people give credit for, too. Boozer also put to rest the concerns about size and agility (his drill time was better than Wilson’s).
Again…. I wouldn’t be disappointed at all with Wilson. But…. It’s hard not to be more enamored with Boozer.
AJ, DP, CW, and CB are tier 1. 1 of them will be available at 4. I’m not going to be disappointed however it plays out. Add to that pick 15, which is where it gets interesting.
