The fallout from the Micah trade feels a bit like Herschel

And it's just weird.

I don't understand coming on the website of a pro sports team and spending 90% of my time/posts attacking others who don't agree w/ me. Beyond weird. I mean, what's the end game? What's the goal? Only thing that makes sense is that they get off to being mean to others. Maybe lots of drug use?

It's obviously the biggest trade of a player we have executed since the Walker trade. That's about the only parallel at this point.

Yeah, Ranching and Rambo are very different from Rockport. Neither of them bother me at all. They’re good fans.

It’s typical of troll like behavior. If you noticed they are paying to do it. And probably why it’s tolerated.

They're good to have, if you have family history....my mom had heart issues and my oldest brother had a stent put in last year, my second oldest had a valve replaced last week. They are 8 and nine years older. I had a precautionary number of tests last year, EKG, stress test, scan and a camera stuck in through my wrist to check my arteries, valves etc....luckily my doctor is a former player and he worked it to where insurance covered it all. Results were great, but I'm not quite 60 yet.
All.else is in good fun, like.i told someone the other day, if I don't like you, I don't respond....I must like you and @kska lot!!!!! Salud!!

Sure, it was all koolaid and rainbows for a week or two, but then even the positives got tired of agreeing w/ each other all the time.

Downs was our own draft pick (not the Packers) and two of our own 5th round picks, and we traded for Gary using a pick that had nothing to do with any trade at all. Unless you are saying we would have had a better record with Micah still here (and by extension a better defense) so those picks would be later, not sure I agree with that.

Sorry, just confused as to how having Micah would have prevented either of the two things you mentioned from happening if the team still wanted them to.

Imagine if we’d of kept Micah, still traded for Q and then still moved up to get Downs. Along with other off season moves on defense .

It doesn’t have to be one or the other . We could have had both. Assuming we finished with a better record we probably would have had to give up more to trade up for Downs.

And to afford could have let Pickens go for example if was necessary . He’s probably going to be gone next year anyway.

Add Jalen Thompson, too. That guy is really good, and it's being overshadowed by the Downs pick. He's a terrific deep safety that will allow Caleb to roam.

We would've had a better record w/ Micah, no doubt.

Micah’s Cap hit last year was less than 10 million. 19 million this year. 26 million in 2027.It could have been doable.

As usually these Market contracts are front loaded with huge signing bonuses and bigger Cap hits are back loaded in contracts. 40 million Cap hit not until 2028.

That's what the trade and subsequent offseason decisions essentially brought with the money Micah wanted.

And it provided the depth to make the Osa trade possible that brought Barham.

It may be early, but this has shades of the Herschel Walker trade about it.

Best offseason roster management we've seen around here in a long, long time.

So, if the Micah trade reminds you of the Herschel trade, are you saying Micah could end up back on the Cowboys roster someday? Herschel did.

We wouldn’t have even had to do that

Clark’s total cost for 2026 and 2027 is only $4m less than Micah
