How good are Cowboy going to be this year?

We haven’t had our prediction poll yet but I’m sure it will be higher this year.

I’m still quite cautious because this is still in my predicted rebuild window
You predicted 30 years?

And so my question for this year still remains. IF all these massive defensive improvements still only nets 7 wins this year then is that still considered massive improvement?
I'm no homer. But the likelihood of that scenario playing out is almost non existent.

A lot of injuries on defense. That is what happened. Along with an idiot for the DC.
A guy that many fans on here wanted not only as a DC at one point in time. But also had him as a HC candidate.
Losing our two Best DL players really hurt us.

They lost players starting in TC. And even though Micah was traded. No he would not have helped. As they then lost even more players. As one returned they lost one or two.
Then they lost the back ups.
In December they were starting PS guys.

For me it seems like we are never bad enough to get really good again, yet also nowhere near good enough to win anything of significance. Stuck in the middle with all of you.

I’m hoping this draft has swung that momentum in a different direction, as both 75 and 05 did. 91 as well.
Except those teams had a plan beyond wack a mole.

Are you actually arguing we didn't miss them last year?

Whether that scenario involves getting into a playoff situation just remains to be seen, imho. Patience will be required for them to make the many adjustments that will prove very
Problem is they can't hold it together long enough to finish the job. While they are plugging holes leaks develop elsewhere.

after beating the chiefs and eagles last year there was some serious buzz behind this team and what they could do. it all fell apart, but the biggest issues have been dramatically addressed. i have high hopes
Except that it turned out beating those two teams wasn't actually much of an accomplishment.

You are correct sir and we are probably good enough to make the playoffs but we are not coached well enough to win a Super bowl.

Jerry will never put the value on coaching necessary to win a championship
Because if he hires a coach with the chops necessary that coach will get the credit if they win…that’s something Jerry can’t handle. He’s been trying to prove he could win without Jimmy since the breakup. He’d rather lose than win and someone else get credit.

There have already been unusual adjustments made to the defense, while the offense should remain closely similar to what it's been in the recent past. I'm inclined to hold my predictions at ease, while hoping for the best results to happen. This offseason was surely exceptional. I'm optimistic for the coming success. To what extent that may be remains to be seen. I do expect an improvement.

Yup.

Last season….10 wins with Micah.
The Packers have a much better roster than we do, yet they didn't win 10 games with Parsons even though he was there for the first 14 games (didn't get hurt till 15th game).

I think people need to get their heads around the fact that Dallas was going to stink last year even with Parsons.

They are going to stink this year again because people are vastly overrating the additions to the defense, and because the Cowboys haven't changed the way they are managed.

This is what we lost.

Bless your heart. ;)
This could very well be a 12 win or better if the injuries are not bad through out the roster. This team looks good on paper, some new Dawgs have been added to the Dawgs that were already here. This defense could surprise and that could make a big difference next season. Team chemistry could override the front office we hope. I am a Homer since 1973 however.
