2025-26 NBA Season

Why was Rockport banned from this thread? Fan fighting is my guess?

If so, some of you guys get brutal and don't stop. Yes, I know, I shouldn't talk. Difference is I counter, not initially attack.

Either way, dealing with C for over a year now (still on chemo) and constantly tired, weak, in pain, etc has made me see life differently in general. I truly hope we all can get along better. Life is too short to be fighting/arguing with each other, especially for those of us who have been here for quite some time.

Peace, Brothers and Sisters. Hope everyone is doing well. Miss you all.

☆ GO SPURS GO!!! ☆
Because he constantly attacks and berates others and makes life miserable for many posters. And then add in that he brings nothing to any convo.

Problem was OkC was missing probably their second and third best players…..they had no one who could create for themselves and others.

But this wouldn’t have been a problem if Chet didn’t play that bad. The simple idea of Wemby scared him it seems.
So, that means the Spurs get a win instead of a loss when Fox was out?

Not sure I follow?

I’m
Not saying they win last night if they were healthy. I’m saying it would’ve been more competitive if Chet showed up or if they had Dub or Ajay.

That was probably the difference in the series. Chet getting exposed by Wemby
Chet is a faux all star. Always was. He’s good but not great. He’s not consistent and is not a natural shot creator. He’s gotten star treatment because of the team around him.
I’m curious if now OKC becomes a player in the Giannis sweepstakes. They have the assets, picks, and clearing one of their big 3 salaries could create $ space. I know it’s not Presti’s style but their window is happening right now. Giannis is what they want Chet to be and right now the Spurs have their number, Giannis would reshuffle the entire deck. Of course if he and JW and AJ are all injured like they have been a lot lately, it won’t matter but then again Chet bombing in pivotal games isn’t any different than being unavailable.

The Thunder have so many picks in the coming drafts that they can afford to more way up in this draft to and get a difference maker immediately

The beauty is that the Spurs have some possible high picks in upcoming drafts as well.

I’d be calling to see what they want for Gianni’s because these deals I see for the Heat aren’t that enticing. Thunder can easily make a package surrounding Chet and Ajay.

I’ve been following Chet since high school. He has a great skill set. I don’t know what that was he just pulled. It was insane.

I meant always was in the nba. Obviously, he was incredible at lower levels. For the NBA he’s a bit slow and going against someone his size who’s quicker really exposes him. His shot creation is a bit forced and not natural. I think JW is bonafide star as he naturally creates his shots plus he’s a more consistent scorer.
I never understood the one way rivalry Wemby had against Chet, different years and Wemby was always the far superior prospect even coming into the league.

Even in the NbA I saw his skill translate. Some stuff he’s gonna take a step
Back because of the usage players around him have. Last night wasn’t about not being good enough or being slow….last night was about fear. And I never saw that from him until Wemby shows up.

He was the best player on his team vs the Lakers ....... he just has some kinda mental thing with Wemby.

I’m leaning towards that as well. He took 4 shots. Win or go home. I haven’t seen a star do that since Ben Simmons. And I think he even shot more than 4 times.

All this talk about Spurs being the youngest team in NBA reminds me of Cowboys before they spun off their 90's dynasty. Same situation. Just freaking incredible if we end up with a second dynasty.

Holmgren = Ben Simmons II. What a collapse, I wouldn't even wait on that. Thunder better see if they can trade him for Giannis and hope Giannis still has a body that can take the beating. So what if the Thunder lost their #2 option most of the series, Fox was playing on a gimpy ankle the whole series. Thunder will need a true upgrade if they expect to beat a team of starters, age 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24. Even Castle's 3 crazy turnovers there at the end which scared the heck out of me ended up just being more volatile youth. Spurs haven't even touched their potential and already winning the NBA Finals.

Going to be a tough Finals series. Hope the Spurs have one left in the tank. What am I saying? Of course they do. They're all kids! Been stating all year in this thread that the Thunder never scared me, they were overrated, and it was the Knicks that matched up well against us. Oklahoma tried to be the modern-day Detroit Pistons Bad Boys with cheap shots and cheap flops everywhere. Spurs said enough is enough and started putting out hits themselves. Tough young team! If Wemby stays healthy, this team has a shot at a threepeat.
