Verse is a very good player, but you’re probably not getting that much for a guy that’s yet to have a double digit sack total.

Myles Garrett is exactly the type of player that legitimizes this defense and instantly gives us the best from 4 in the league. Maybe the cowboys did make a competitive offer, we may never know but if Garrett is available, which he obviously was he’s the type of player you go get even if you have to over pay.

He does on paper yes. But we know how on paper goes in this league….

I agree. On a different note, I wonder if the Jets would take Overshown or Bell for Kiko Mauigoa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Mauigoa). I think Mauigoa would be a quietly good move kinda like what we used to do with players like Robert Quinn.

Any value Bell had was killed last year. Downs and Quinnen are probably the only guys with trade value. Maybe Bland.
