News: ESPN: Sources: Browns, Rams finalizing Myles Garrett blockbuster trade

Stephen doesn’t have a way to win the Super Bowl. Isn’t that obvious by now. Lol

“Stephen’s way”. lol

Stephen has a way to be one and done in the playoffs. He’s an expert at that.
Stephen wants to be in the conversation every year so he can keep collecting the checks from what his dad built. He doesn't have the balls to go for it like the Rams did once and are doing it again. He's a typical nepo baby.

I just find it hilarious some fans still trying to criticize the rams strategy.

Remember when they traded all their firsts for years and people were like “oh they will suck in a few years”.

Oops. That never happened.
Yeah I thought it was stupid. It worked. Props to them. I’m sorry but…

The Lions then used those picks (and some draft-day trades involving them) to end up with these players:

* Jared Goff
* Ifeatu Melifonwu
* Jameson Williams
* Josh Paschal
* Jahmyr Gibbs
* Sam LaPorta
* Brodric Martin

I’d much rather have that than Stafford. I get it it’s stupid to say because Rams got a ring. I get how it sounds. That’s just not my idea of roster building.

At first I worried about this.

But then he comforted me.

No team in the league wants Overshown until he plays a full season.

True or maybe someone might take Bell? I think we may actually have a talent bottleneck (in a good way) at safety for once. Maybe he could be a trade option to flip for a decent LB/pass rusher?

I’m just using the term that was used. Stephen doesn’t even run the Cowboys so I wouldn’t even say he has a way. My point was there’s more than one way to skin a cat. Just because it worked for the Rams doesn’t mean it’s the only way.

I think the trade worked out for both teams.

We don’t have to always view trades as one team wins and one team loses on it.

Sometimes a trade works out well for both parties.

I agree with that.

I just want the cowboys to adjust and try something new. Their way hasn’t worked.

I mean, I get it, but if we're giving up players, I do think Overshown is a highly talented player. When healthy, I do see him as someone that can be among the top players, and it would have been an interesting offer. Worst the Browns could do is say no, and maybe they did.
I don’t think anybody trusts him to stay healthy.

Nor should they.

I think he has very little value.

I’m not saying who won or loss the trade. I’m just commenting on the idea of roster building.

I’m not a fan of sitting out of free agency and I’m not a fan of trading all my draft picks. It’s been proven to be dumb. It’s worked for Rams once. There’s countless other teams who’ve tried the approach and haven’t had as much success. Browns are still recovering from all they traded for Watson.

It was stupid to give the Jets the better of

If either the Cowboys or Packers pick in 2027 is 13 or better, Quennin will cost more in trade value than Parsons.
We can’t say it’s stupid because we don’t know what the offer was. If someone had a higher offer you have to offer something better.

Verse is a very good player, but you’re probably not getting that much for a guy that’s yet to have a double digit sack total.

Myles Garrett is exactly the type of player that legitimizes this defense and instantly gives us the best from 4 in the league. Maybe the cowboys did make a competitive offer, we may never know but if Garrett is available, which he obviously was he’s the type of player you go get even if you have to over pay.
Rams run themselves quite differently than the cowboys that’s for sure. they’ve traded all their first rounders from 2017-2023. got them a SB in 21. for all the dealing they do id expect a couple more SB wins i guess. but here i am talking ish’ from both sounds of my mouth beeing a cowboys fan who’s seen zero SB wins in my lifetime.
