2025-26 NBA Season

Not in a thousand years when we first drafted him did I think Wemby was going to be Jordan or Kobe-esque in his lethalness. Just seemed too "genuinely nice guy" but it's nice to finally have a big man in San Antonio who wants it and isn't afraid to say it. The Admiral wasn't built that way, and Tim Duncan was too quiet. Really enjoyed watching the Spurs match the physical play and put those suckers on their backs after their cheap shots and flop city. I would say this team will own the NBA for the next 5 years, but that's the same thing everyone said about OKC so I won't jinx it. Still one more series to go, and NY Knicks are actually a stronger opponent against the Spurs than the Thunder. I don't think people realize that who didn't watch the games this year.

I take back all the bad things I said about Vassell and his contract over the years. Dude was balling all series. No longer a role player. It wasn't Wemby, Vassell was on Holmgren a lot and shut him down. THAT is depth, not the OKC charade. Good to see that at least 2 of them (Vassell, KJ) on the first failed reboot managed to be contributors for the NBA Finals.

I never had Vassell pegged as a high level defender. Thats definitely showing me. 24% in the playoffs is insane

Winning the Wemby lottery was huge for the Spurs, but also getting two players in Castle and Harper (all 3 back-to back- to-back picks) was also huge for the Spurs. Both players have played very well.

Vassell has shocked me he looks as good on the perimeter defending as Castle does.

You don’t have to knock Thunder to prop up San Antonio lol. At the end of the day Thunder were deep enough to contend without J Dub and Ajay. It took game 7 to beat them so let’s not pretend like they don’t have depth. Spurs are a great team. Maybe not as deep as Thunder but they beat them and did it on the road. Not a knock on Thunder but a credit to how good Spurs were.

Yeah but without Welby that’s a whole different team. Plus Harper whole good is nowhere near his ceiling yet. When he does get there who knows how good Spurs can be..

Imagine being the 2nd pick in the NBA draft and during the same year the team that drafted you went to the finals.

It’s impressive. I honestly thought Mavs could see a similar jump with Kyrie, Flagg and AD. Noy championship but at least playoffs. Didn’t quite happen lol

I am a Texas Tech football fan, and I will admit that my fellow Tech fans are the dumbest in college football.

With that said….as far as the NBA is concerned. Many of these Spurs fans who pay to attend the games in person are some of the biggest absolute idiots. Especially that complete moron who ran onto the court, and the dum-dums who chant “refs you suck” all playoffs long when the refs actually made the correct call. I am embarrassed for them.

I've been a Knicks fan since the 70s. Never seen them win a championship. The Spurs need to win game 2, or it's a sweep.
The Knicks were the first team i followed as a kid.
I idolized Walt Frazier, as I watched the Knicks win their 2nd title in '73.
The Spurs have too much talent to be swept. I see the series going at least six games. It's hard for me to choose a favorite because I like both teams.
It's weird. My dual allegiance shifts seamlessly from one team to the other...throughout the game. It's a no lose situation for me. Lol

I predicted Knicks in 5. I will stick to that but if they win game 2 it will be a sweep. The Knicks are a bunch of veteran dawgs. How in the world was SA the favorite? The only chance they have is game 2 and they better win it. Monday in MSG will be bonkers so the Spurs have no chance there. Ditto for game 4.

The guy who ran on to the court….he at least got to have a once in a lifetime
Moment lol.

That was very unfortunate, and I wouldn’t doubt if there are many copycats going forward in the future who continue to do similar things. This can completely change the sport and ruin it to an extent.
