2025-26 NBA Season

Spurs were the favorite because they beat the Champs who were missing their second best player and Ajay plus everyone wants to anoint Wemby.
Plus Chet was having a breakdown. Wemby is good for sure. Let's see him hold up for a dozen years. I think a sweep is very possible. The Knicks are dawgs.

I think Chet is mentally weak. He’s lucky to have SGA. I think Wemby has a killer in him but he just hasn’t fully figured out how to completely impose his will yet using full extent of his length and athletic advantages.
As far as the NYKs go, they seem to be on a magical run. I think they just match up better with the Spurs than OKC. Oddly, I could see a healthy OKC beating NYK in a series because of matchups.
It’s good to see KAT finally getting some consistency and not pull the traditional disappearing act. Always liked his game, never understood how he wasn’t more dominant. That seems to have been the missing ingredient for the NYKs as he’s averaging 20+ ppg and career high assists plus playing defense.
Game 3 gonna be wild, you know MSG gonna be lit.

I think the Spurs will win game 3. The league will want them to win. They want Wemby to play well and get the series to go 7 games. I think they will call fouls early when the physical play starts and not let the obvious fouls go like they have in the first 2 games.

Listen, I'm not saying the series is over... Spurs can still win 4 in a row or 4 of the next 5

But right now, there's not a team in basketball playing as good as NY

Has nothing to do with a slug fight... 13 in a row puts them in the conversation for greatest playoff runs ever.

And they absolutely would have smoked the Trailblazers, Suns, Wolves and Lakers the way they're playing right now... OKC is a tough match up, just like I think we're a tough match up for SAS, but I think they coast against all those teams just as easily

Lakers would have stood no chance . The 7 games though the Spurs took to win the West against OKC as opposed to NY smoking Cleveland then having rest has helped , it’s a long season

Imagine the opening round Atlanta taking NY to 6 games . Give them credit . Spurs should look at that tape

Not trying to put words in your mouth, but are you implying that the games are being manipulated, or rigged?

You don't notice how games are called? They make adjustments from game to game. The league makes a lot of money off of Wemby. They need the Spurs to win some games. They will call the fouls in game 3.

Wow that’s quite a stat considering how long the NBA has been in business . Spurs lost by 1 I wouldn’t give up the ship yet . Obviously game 3 has to be a street fight all hands on deck .

Personally I never understood the Mavericks letting an obvious talent like Brunson walk . Then to top it off they ship Luka out .

Brunson is 95% an offensive player. Mavs probably just wanted a player who can help on both ends of the court.

Is the NFL rigged like the NBA is?

Oh, i've noticed. This is why I asked the question. There seems to be more scripted calls being made by the refs over the last few years. I see it happening in more crucial situations (playoffs) than in the past. It's come to the point that when I see it, the influence of legalized gambling comes to mind.
I hope I'm wrong here, but lf it ends up corrupting the integrity of the game, and sports in general, i'm out.

The NBA has always given the home team an advantage over the years. The reasoning is that fans like to see their team win and come back for more and spend more money.

The Spurs plus the points looks like a good bet in game 3.

I don't think it's the legal gambling... The NBA has always been borderline crooked like that. Look at Wade getting a million FTs vs Dallas that year. The infamous Lakers - Kings series when Divac asked why they even made the trip. And many others. It's one reason I can barely watch the league anymore.

Yeah I'll be moving in that direction if it becomes too much for me to ignore.
Don't get me started on the history of the NBA lottery and its antics. Lol
