Yes it was successful that doesn't mean it doesn't need to be improved in some areas,

for sure There are a lot of plays left on that field because the tackles didn't block well and they blew up the play from the beginning and they had to go off grip too much..

I also I also believe last year in BrianS first year of offense they utilized TEs in a smaller box by design, Because of that they knew there were going to be a lot of hot routes and check downs, because the tackles just weren't blocking very well ,not consistent, and we're times where it seemed like Prescott as soon as the ball touched his hands, he was on the run..

Hey 7th is nice but hey if you can creep up into the top five, thats even better.

I do agree we can go back and fix some of those things even if we had a time machine and get more out of our off and say in the second half or some quicker starts and we're still losing all those games because our defense was going to still suck worse than anything our offense could put out there And it's hard to play offense when your defense is just going to give it right back..

I heard about Spann-ford all last off season... then the real games started and where was he/ Ferguson will still be the passing down TE. Now that undrafted kid..... we might get to see a little of him. But remember the hops player several years ago that we also kept hearing about?

Ferguson will be fine, He had a very good year last season. And then the very bad concussion.
He is the starter. There is no other TE on the roster that will challenge him. Unless the light comes on for Schoonermaker in his contract year. Which we all doubt.

Spann-Ford will push Schoonmaker for TE 2 position. His blocking is good, but he needs to work on his receiving skills. And to get open.
He has looked good in his opportunities when given.

Fant for now is TE 3 but look for Trigg, or even Rogers to surpass him once in TC. Fant is a tweener type so that is never good for the long run.

I still can see Schoonmaker as a trade candidate. However, if Trigg and Rogers have a great TC, as they were paid high signing bonuses for UDFA's. Can Spann-Ford be a trade candidate as well.

Would you all be ok with Ferguson and 2 UDFA rookies as the only TE's. Ferguson, Trigg, Rogers. But I doubt they dp that. They may keep 4 TE's. Either Spann-Ford or Schoonmaker.

It is ridiculous. All Pro WR x2, a rock solid RB last season, 60 million dollar QB. The fact we dont have a Bowers type TE just shows how inept our front office is. It is such an easy spot to fill and we neglect it every year...... cough cough

I’m glad they took a T round 4 and if not his rookie year perhaps second season he can actually compete as a starter . I believe 22 OL were taken ahead of Shelton this past draft we shall see .
