Ahh ok fair enough. Wasn’t a fan of him but I loved some Penny Hardaway and would’ve loved to have seen him win.

But I also don’t play make believe or live in fantasy land.

Championships are for players and coaches.

“Ambassadors”, janitors, and hotdog salesman are not NBA champions.

just kinda weird... I'd be willing to bet whatever field you're in, you aren't as successful as Ewing was in his, so to call him a loser just seemed odd. I don't think anyone suggests that this changes his basketball legacy. But is it a feel good moment? For people that appreciate Ewing, sure.

Not being mean or anything. It’s just the truth. In sports, you win or you lose.
Patrick Ewing did not win a championship therefore he is a “loser“ in the NBA. It is what it is. Facts are facts and the truth hurts sometimes.

Success is measurable in a number of ways, even in sports

Winning 2 Olympic Gold medals, making an all NBA first team, 6 all NBA second teams, 3 defensive second teams, being the best player on a team that won the Eastern Conference and being a major part of another team that won the Eastern Conference again would be winning to any reasonable person.

Was it the ultimate goal no, but again... most successful people in whatever field, aren't nearly as successful as Patrick Ewing was in basketball.

He was definitely a great Bball player.

But he isn’t an NBA champion. Never was and never will be.

Brunson was special though. It’s hard for some to admit because he’s small and not flashy. He’s a superstar. Spurs should have no shame in losing to him.
