Finally have a young staff in place will implement modern schemes!

I Love that they are bringing in young fresh ideas. my concern is the lack of experience running a defense as well making it too complex to run. i dont want another Rob Ryan year where they do not know what to do and are out of position all the time. I would like a happy in the middle defense with new ideas but easer for the guys to run so they can play fast. I hope all the teaching leads to faster reaction times for the players.
That’s a fair concern cause he hasn’t worked in the past learning more of a complex scheme.

They’ve been trying the retread route, Marinelli, Nolan, Quinn, Zimmer and Eberflus. None of those worked out so why not try the up and coming DC coach?

How was have coaching retreads worked for us in the last 30 years? Sometimes you need someone NOT set in their ways.
He lacks experience in that roll. Your suggestion about the former DC coaches failing because of their experience is ludicrous.

How do you know this?

Don’t get me wrong, I want you to be right… but why this unwavering confidence in an unproven DC?
I'd guess polarization. There is a pretty large contingent who believe the players don't matter and that it's all on coaching. Really silly stuff.

I’m feeling the mist optimism heading into a season in a decade and it is because of the youth of the coaching staff and what they could finally bring to this team.

Great!!

"Don't talk about it, be about it!!"

I can't wait till we see some actual football it pads, even if only scrimmages, 7 on 7, 11 on 11, they start practicing against other teams to get into preseason games,

that's where we'll start seeing some things...

Duh.

So you’re all for keeping Eberfulus?
What's it matter? If they kept Eberflus would you be doing anything but talking about how great a move it was to keep consistency at DC after 3 different people in 3 years, and that things would be greatly improved with everyone getting another year to learn the Eberflus scheme?

LONG overdue and the right man for the job.
For a long time Ol Jerry and son couldn't see the forest for the tree's. Teams knew where the ball was going from the Dallas offense before the football was snapped. Young innovative coaches were needed , Dallas may finally be improving at hiring better more modern coaches. Klayton Adams appears to be a winning hire at offensive coordinator same with Christian Parker on the defensive side of the ball. Brian Schottenheimer has had a lot to do with these improvements . This is what happens when People that know what they are doing gets to make the decisions on coaching hires.

I think it is going to make a huge difference this season.
Offenses will have to work hard to move the ball , and our defense will have them guessing.
On offense, I dont know, run more I hope, have to wait and see.
If Dallas gets good play at offensive tackle , they should be able to run the ball at a league leading level this coming season. And the defense should be much better, these coaches have a pulse, I don't think Eberflus had much of anything innovative up his sleeve at all when it came to coaching defense . I look for this team to improve across the board .

I DID NOT say that. I like CP. I want CP to call all the shots on D. I just hope his lack of experience doesn't end up biting us in the butt. There are other young coaches on this staff that I question.
Thanks for clearing that up.

I’m not trying to force optimism. I’m trying to prevent people from crapping on posters that do post optimistic opinions, facts, etc.
Absolute nonsense ....... you have spent years on here calling people Philly fans, telling them to go find a new team ....... people that have been here a decade longer than you.

You are simply a lap-dog yes man who does not have the guts to be a fan of the team instead of a fan of the owner.

Despicable.

This is what he said

Eberflus's defenses consistently ranked in the top 10 for points allowed in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and finished 10th in total defense in 2018.

A smart person would give him a chance.

All coaches in the NFL are set in their ways.
There are coaches that adapt to trends in the league. There are those that don't. The older ones (in general) don't adapt as much. At least, that's been from my observations.
