yeah but the 27 mil cap hit isnt smart. they could take $ saved and add another good player.

I don't like the cap hit, but I agree with the tag. This is a player who's coming off being traded for peanuts compared to his ability. I'd want him to prove how much he wants the money for another year. One of the posts mentioned being late for meetings. He needs to clean that up along with some of the unnecessary penalties that cost his team.

It is very common with players who are tagged. I'm not sure the purpose of it if the player has been told the team isn't negotiating a deal this year, but most tagged players do it. I think it is to cut down on the risks of some of these ACL tears and other injuries we see players getting in drills. Even though he's guaranteed $27 million, his agent doesn't want him to unnecessarily jeopardize the $100 million plus in guarantees a long-term deal will bring.

I don't get why guys on here keep saying this. Did anybody say they hope he holds out? Or, was it many thought there is a chance he does, potentially being a distraction? Me personally, my hope was that he goes in full force, but we may have to prepare for the alternative. At least for the time being, he's all in

It's virtue signalling. People make up stuff nobody ever said (or VERY few), act like it's ubiquitous...object to it..and win innerwebz with hi 5s to self.

Oh there's plenty of drama on occaision....GP showing up won't stop any of it.

There was never very many to begin with.

Now some were..and maybe still are... concerned about possible loose cannon behavior. I don't share it but i understand it. We loved Michael too but whoowee ya never knew what HE was gonna do.
