This information is lazy at best. Just blathering "but it's a TEAM game...you blankety blanks!" explains nothing about HOW a team wins...or loses. A single play by ONE player certainly *can* make or break.

Sometimes a few different players are there to make those plays.

That entire goal line stand was great by OSU, allowing Sawyer to make that play.

I remember a few years back. The Eagles won like 6 games all due to ONE play. # wins were by the opposing team missing a last second FG.
Another win was by an overturned call the Vikings had for a TD. Which was questionable. But I think was the right call. Then the next play could have been a TD but the WR missed catching it.

Agreed about the defense doing their jobs there. I mentioned it in my post. But it WAS Jack...that made the play.

I need to reiterate my point...which I do think you are alluding to here (so not directed at you specifically!). I just think it's very lazy to just blither incessantly "it's a team game". (of course it is). Especially when there is an obvious agenda. Without pointing out critical plays.

It would be like if you said your life was filled with mundane unremarkable events, day after day after day forever...never an important memorable day or time. It would be a lazy way to describe your life.

Lee Elia managed the Chicago Cubs maybe late 80’s and he had the all time melt down lasted about 20 minutes. Basically he trashed Chicago Cub fans saying who the he** goes to day baseball games except the “ unemployed “ it was hilarious .
