I don't buy it. While Harper is a good player he played all the way through the playoffs up to the finals. Also, he has a superior cast of players surrounding him compared to Cooper.

Harper also got super lucky landing on a team that won over 60 games and made it to the finals. If Cooper was picked #2 and played with the Spurs and Harper went to the Mavs this wouldn't be conversation about Harper> Cooper

Edit: Also this wasn't a thing until after the finals was over. Put Cooper over Harper on that same Spurs team and they win it all.

Hmmm not sure about this ........ Though I think its a lot closer than people thought it was during the draft.

It's hard to tell at this time. Harper has a title contending team that surrounds him, Cooper has a 20 something win team surrounding him

Take away Harpers playoffs-finals the nod for-sure goes to Coop. However, take into account the playoffs-finals Harper does edge somewhat closer.

If Cooper was on that Spurs team and Harper was playing for the Mavs this wouldn't be a debate

True, Wemby turned into beast mode this year and that was 90% of the Spurs success. Harper also benefited from that success

OK ........ I do not agree and I think Castle, and Harper later in the season, Did a lot and allowed Wemby to do the things he did. And of course visa versa.

But its all good ....... hopefully we can get a big in the draft or in a trade that can keep Wemby from becoming exhausted from having to do everything in the paint.
