Kyle Youmans leaving team website to do Ravens radio

He took the money. What 99% of people would do. Cant blame him.
Lots of DC.com people have left for greener pastures. Helman, Kelsey Charles, off top of my head but a bunch of writers come for 3-5 years and bounce

This guy backstabbing our franchise while moving a short drive from the Five Points.

It's like he's directly challenging me.

Take it from an old head, you only have so many years to accumulate your wealth. He's making the move at the right time.

He was basically the replacement in waiting for Brad Sham as the team's play-by-play guy. So this move by Youmans probably means Sham has no plans to retire any time soon.
What a traitor. Good riddance. Hope his crossed eye gets worse so we can see how well they will like him afterwards up in Baltimore.

My exposure to him was the post game show on 105.3 with the “ SB winning scout “ from the 90’s ….Kyle was excellent in that role and he even did a radio game last year when Sham was not able .

He figures Sham will retire never so I imagine he put himself out there wanting the radio gig of other NFL teams .Actually doing the play by play and not just the post game show is a big step up $$ wise career wise good for him he’s got talent .

Someone is about to poach Mickey right under our nose next, just watch.
Nah he’s busy polishing Jerry’s shoes under the desk for what must be in the thousands of times.

“If this Mr. X free agent is so hot stuff why’s his team lettin him go? If you just view the game through a lens that holds no one, that is a financial no separation status, accountable then you can understand the Cowboys know what they are doing. Look at this cool memory from decades ago. Here’s a current story that has nothing to do with actual football success. Check out these cherry picked stats! Why do you fans want postseason success so much, there’s other things in life. Cowboys guuuuuhhhhhd, other teams baaaaaaaad. Slurp, slurp, slurrrrrrrp.”

Mickey is not leaving his prized gig voluntarily. Someone would have to take him out back with grandpa’s shotgun.

Because of his emergency step-in for Brad a year or two ago, I kinda figured he was being made to feel like he was the heir apparent, which seemingly would have had to have been his ultimate dream job. But can't fault the guy for jumping on the first train that had a seat open--only 32 of those jobs in the universe. Besides, he may just find that this ends up being his first NFL radio pbp job anyhow... nothing to say he can't come back later.

Not a huge fan of Youmans, to be honest, but I've grown some tolerance for him as he's seemed to settle in and feel less compelled to use the radio DJ inflection that was so heavy in his voice for so long. He sounds more normal more often now than he did in the past.

Best wishes to him and his young family.

Those of you that don't know who Kyle Youmans is are telling on yourselves that you don't pay attention to blue star media. That tells me you're willfully uninformed about the Cowboys organization, and I have zero interest in what you have to say about the Cowboys.

I used to listen to DC.com stuff a lot. Not so much the last few years as there’s so many more options out there now.

I will say that Kyle was a very talented speaker. He has like a perfect radio voice, speaks smoothly and in command at all times. He’s very talented at all that. I’m sure he will do well with the ravens.
Same here. I used to listen to The Break religiously, but it's really tapered off for me this off-season. I miss when they had Eagleton, Eatman, Helman, and Broaddus. That was a great crew.

I know Eatman is still around, but Storyline just doesn't really pull me in. I'm not a huge fan of the whole fan call-in show format.
