Shavon Revel is the key for the CB position moving forward!

Could Bland be a trade candidate during TC? Or right before the season.
Depending how many DB's they keep, at least 5 CB's, 5 S's. They may have some tough decisions to make.

They may be able to keep only 4 S's, and then 6 CB's.

S's:
Thompson, Downs, (though he will play Nickel), Hooker, Locke. Then AJ Clark or Bell the 5th S. Though I believe Bell is a trade candidate or simply will be released. Clark could be on the PS though.

So to the CB's
Bland, Revel, Durant, Moore, Kendrick, is my initial 5.
Competing for the 5th and / or possible 6th spots.
Steward (who they tendered), Carson, Butler
Butler who they seem to have liked will be a PS guy. So who gets that 6th spot if they keep 6. Or can one of them beat out Kendrick.

So if Steward and Carson shine in TC. Would they trade Bland, and keep both of them, and Kendrick if he is what they want as well.

I don’t know if Bland and his contract are trade able.

Carson when healthy has always struggled with deep speed, if he keeps everything in front of him he is good.

Definitely. But if Revel wasn’t injured, he would have been a 1st round pick as well.

Surtain is a high end corner in the league. I cannot at all figure that the talent level is similar. Maybe Revel could become that, but it’s not come to fruition as of yet. That’s a ton to ask, and if this team stole anything close to Surtain at where they got Revel, I’ll need to practice my backflips.

I feel Bland is playing to stay on the roster this season as the Cowboys can get out of his contract if he doesn't get injured.

Then yea it's too suspect and banking on hope. If bland isn't healthy it's alot of hope regarding revel, Carson and the rook.

Durant will prove to be one of our most consistent starters this yr, the rest have a ton of unknowns.

Let's hope we get that player from ECU who could have been drafted higher. I hope bland plays with a chip on his shoulder!!

Dont forget the other young squire from ECU by the name of Anthony Smiff.

If he can make the 53 the man roster, the Pirates will be well represented.

Robert Jones and Chris Johnson have represented that small school well in the past.

I can’t spell it out down to the exact measurable but they were not comparable players based on general draft analysis when they each came out, injury or not.

Surtain was projected as a stud corner, ended up as a top ten pick, and has not disappointed. Are you telling me that’s how Revel was billed the same without the injury? If so, it’s news to me, because he probably still would have went in the first round.
