A couple examples would be, like how you band up with a handful of cohorts to support and encourage each other against your antagonists. Examples in this thread.You don’t know what tribalism is?
and, my personal favorite example...
How you often say "we" in front of whatever insult you're going to throw next. as if you are speaking for others, aka your tribe. The inclusion of "we" gives you the illusion of support from your tribe.
Personally, I think classifying what you and I and everyone does regarding supporting like-minded individuals with agreement as tribalism is a real reach.
Pretending to speak for others so as to give the illusion of some sort of numbers backed support is far more tribalistic.
Ever hear of the FATE model of manipulation tactics?
F- Focus
A- Authority
T- Tribe
E- Emotion
Appeal to the tribe is a tried and true tactic.
