Sometimes I wish we were all blind. We would all get along better that's for sure. This brings a tear to my eyes all the time. You can tell Ray feels the love too.

One of my all-time favorite fights is Benard Hopkins and Tito Trinidad that happened not too long after 9-11. Benard came out to this version. The crowd, which had a lot more Trinidad fans booed. An American fighter getting that kind of reaction in his own country is insane to me. Benard went on to use that as inspiration to put on, in my opinion, the greatest performance in boxing history. Tito was 40-0 at the time and looked unbeatable. After the beatdown, Bernard trying to get the American crowd to chant "USA! USA!" is still one of my favorite moments in sports history. You can tell he was pissed that they remained silent because they were scared to piss off the larger Tito crowd who were stunned that Tito got his *** handed to him.

Please don't let anyone scare you into not loving your country. Through thick and thin, for better or for worse, I will always love mine. We're far from perfect, but no one, no country is. As they say, "They hate us because they ain't us." Look at all those positive America Youtube videos from soccer fans from around the world. There's a reason why people want to come here and rarely want to leave. As of now, 11.6 million people are on the list waiting to come here.

Edit: this is the day 250 years later when we declared independence, but still were colonies. We didn’t actually win independence until 1783, so we can Celebrate again in 8 years!
