Talent was there. Production wasn't.Pickens was a 2+ yard per route player in Pittsburgh his last two seasons, that’s legit #1 WR territory.
He benefited from the cowboys offense for sure but not nearly as much as it’s made out to be. His counting stats were down mostly due to a lower number of snaps, not quality of play. I’m not sure the talent has ever been in question for Pickens.
The raw numbers is what matters. Let's not pretend otherwise.
The raw numbers are why he's NOW considered a top 10 WR.
He was never considered a top 10 WR in Pittsburgh.
He got his numbers in Dallas because he had damn good QB play for the 1st time in his career.
