News: Fox: Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee for OWI

I could be wrong but smiling for a mug shot tells me he was drunk.

CBS Sports isn't smiling right now.
I do agree with that, it seems they’re “usually” either smiling or have a really angry look. I would think someone with his stature and overall reputation would try to keep a neutral face, drunk or not. Appearing to think it’s funny isn’t a good look, but that’s never been a problem for him anyways.

MADD has to be one of the most successful grass roots organizations ever. They changed the culture and perception of drinking and driving in a big way. It was pretty much a free for all in my early driving days.
And that is why I was offended when we saw a group start DAMM in retaliation.

Those ladies were doing nice work.

On a side note, it now appears that Tony's future may have to turn to politics.

innocent until proven guilty
I'm fairly certain he is guilty if he was arrested and already has a court appearance. I am no lawyer, but I believe the only way he'd be proven innocent is if the batteries on the breathalizer were dead, lol. I'm sure this will be less than a tap on the knuckles, but that won't mean he isn't a naughty boy

I’m saying as far as like making a public announcement. I think actions speak louder than words on stuff like this.
I agree with that, but I also think if he's the type of person I think he is, then he should use the platform he has to do something publicly. Drunk driving is a problem in our society that hasn't really gotten better, so having someone who did it own up to it and campaign for others not to make the same bad choice would be a good thing.

I hate the whole "smiling in your mugshot" thing, regardless of who it is. I mean, you got arrested. At least pretend to treat it with some gravity.

It’s only a mistake because he didn’t harm
Someone. Could’ve easily killed himself others and that’s when it goes from a mistake to stupidity. But I guess you can say it’s stupid to even take the chance.
We covered someone recently who got a 30-year sentence for negligent homicide because he made the choice to drive drunk. He was 19 years old at the time and his decision ended up killing his 19-year-old passenger and a 50-year-old who was just minding his business when he came over a hill and the 19-year-old was in his lane.

Reminds me of this.

I once read about the evils of drinking. So I stopped reading.
lol...people make mistakes, and I'm sure Romo is embarrassed about this. It's not like he is always in some sort of trouble. He may have been in some Golf Club with some friends after playing, and I know playing golf things can get REALLY fun in the club house afterwards.

He's probably not an alcoholic, he's just a drunk—alcoholics go to meetings.

Fun at the 19th hole. Beer and drinks all around.
