Yet he wasnt even close to beign the best DT on his own team last season. His numbers down pretty bad.

There was no chance they were not going to resign him. When he's "on", he's arguably one of the 5-7 best defenders in all of football.

NFL contracts are insane but ain't gonna change as each year the league just increases their revenues.

Oh, Q Williams get ready!!
Not really First of all he'd have to show this year that he's that kind of talent I know he probably will but he's also more of a nose tackle There's a difference 3T etc 5T ie They usually get paid more than a nose tackle now let's look at Jordans contract didn't they just pay the same nose tackle on their team as well?

The Cowboys could argue he is a straight up nose tackle Look at his age and all that that's where they'll start is this or somewhere in this neighborhood I mean Chris Jones only makes 30 I like Quinn and Williams but I'm not sure if he's ever been the all around player chris Jones was pass rusher stops the run very mobile always making splash plays vs a NT that Mostly holds up the middle and stops the run..

Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles signed nose tackle Jordan Davis to a massive three-year, $78 million contract extension.

Contract Details
    • Total Value: $78 million over three years
    • Guaranteed Money: $65 million
    • Record: Makes him the highest-paid nose tackle in NFL history

But he's not a nose tackle He's like a 3 or a 5 tech you know like OSA played People keep thinking that QW is all sudden going to get this giant contract that was more than Chris Jones and more than this guy but not if they label him as a nose tackle A pure nose tackle it'll be a lot less than this...

Quinnen is 12 lbs lighter than Jalen Carter. They can try to call him that but I don’t think that’s gonna fly….

It’s really just a matter of their revenue. Their salaries are going to keep increasing as long as revenue does.

I don’t foresee it slowing down anytime soon.
So why don’t your average white collars get big increases despite the big company’s revenue increasing?

Is the NFL just that much richer?

I don't what you think flies and don't fly we heard this when Saquon Barkley and Christian Mccaffrey got $20 million a year there hasn't been a single running back get that since just because some guy sets the new market doesn't mean everybody falls in line the defensive line has nothing to do with weight It's what your position is on the team you're asking a contract from... That's how it works everyone thinks that every guy is gonna get new market money I wanna be the next highest paid this and that no that's not how it works...

You go by statistics and game impact and if Jaylen Carter Rush is the passer better Does more to affect the quarterback versus just be A really good run plugging hold up two guys type of guy you have to have both to get that kind of big money..

Like I say Chris Jones is up in age but he started the whole $30 million thing but he could play all the positions along the line he can rush the passer put up big stats when he was younger even with sacks and pressures on the quarterback QW I'm gonna have to look that up I think he's a pure nose tackle that has skill sets that you can plug them in at three or five tech but he is not a defensive end he is not just any defensive tackle he is classified as a nose tackle..

How about this why don't we wait and see everybody thought George Pickens was just gonna go go grab money and have a bunch of trade offers and play under a big Giant contract this year and that didn't even happen We know there was some underlying reason but the man blew up last year he showed all his skills he could show to be a top five guy but not single offer for him...

This is how it works fans will wait and we'll find out.. But from my perspective and I need to watch more from QW I know he's great in the middle but I think he's a pure nose tackle and Carter's more of a hybrid like Chris Jones can play all over the line maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm mixing them up 'cause I hate the Eagles so much I mix guys up But Jordan that contract let's just say it lies right in between this contract and what Jordan got paid on the Eagles those two there's a gap QW probably falls in that gap he will not set the market at DT he just won't I just don't see it happening...

The NFLPA union contract gives players a 50% cut of revenue, give or take a few points. Workers at most places don't have a CBA that ties their wages to company revenue like that. And revenues at most big companies have grown a lot faster than their wages have.

Frankly, I would say that it's not that NFL players are getting paid too much, they're just keeping up with whatever the league earns. The problem is that wages for American workers aren't keeping up with what their employers earn.

My current company isn't publicly traded, and doesn't publish their financials. But looking at my last gig (they laid me off in 2023), their revenue went up 13% between 2024 and 2025. I sure as hell never saw a 13% annual raise while working there.

QW's number has pretty much always been $40m, especially since Simmons signed. This doesn't really change anything on that front.

Also keep in mind that in a place like McDonald’s, you have staff cost that’s under product cost that’s under machine upkeep cost

In the NFL, the players are the staff cost. But the players are also the product cost. And the players are also the machine cost that creates that product that is sold by that staff.

Which is crazy….because you argued Jordan Davis was better….
Did I?

He was better last year because Carter was injured all year, but he’s definitely not better overall

I suppose it’s not unlike Pickens vs Ceedee. Who was better? Undeniably Pickens. But is anyone actually going to argue that makes him the superior player?
