A blood test alone is under 1% failure rate. Every separate test is overwhelming higher than it's failure rate. Combined, it's not that hard a concept.

The post I had responded to said nothing about blood tests. He implied that "100s of hours of training" and that they are subject to "sworn testimony in court" are reasons enough to ignore the subjective nature of the process and the notion that there is a preferred outcome from the authority's perspective. That is incredibly naive and it spans more than just impairment related stops.

The blood test is the one aspect that is objective in an impairment situation but that's not what the commenting was about.

Romo, for whatever reason, just does not seem to understand the nature of a Traffic Stop. He just interrupts and says whatever pops in his head.

I used to work in the criminal justice system. In a youth correctional facility.

Some of the people working there were great at their jobs and cared about doing things right.

Some of the people were decent people but not very good at their job.

Some of the people were bad people who were in the job for the wrong reasons and should not have been involved in the justice system.

Long story short we were all humans.

Police are no different. Some are great. Some are good people but bad cops. Some are just flat out bad people.

Watch the video 100x more if need be. The cop clearly asked him to put the phone down, and Tony explained multiple times he was calling his lawyer...this went on, and on and on and on and on and on. Finally, he did just that and exited the newer version of OJ'S White Bronco. It's literally 2 minutes in, while he was sitting in his OJ refresh and told her to hang on, and about another 245,678 times, "So, I'm not allowed to call my lawyer....I'm not allowed to...So you're saying I'm not allowed to." All this while looking at his phone. You can see for yourself what happened when he left the OJ refresh...it's right there

I'm pretty sure she never told him to "put the phone down" She clearly told him he couldn't make a call but she never expressed anything about him putting it down. She didn't seem to have a problem with him setting it up on the bumper other than to tell him she wanted him over by her car.

My impression was that he legitimately thought he had the right to call his lawyer and was confused. He doesn't of course but he thought he did which was why he asked a couple times. Overall I'd say he was very cooperative throughout the whole thing.

It is a Jeep not a Bronco.

Damn, I had a Jeep, so I wasn't sure! It doesn't seem like she directly said to put the phone down, but he did keep asking if he was allowed to make a call, and she repeatedly told him no. I suppose he handled himself about as well as he could, considering the situation, outside of continually asking the same question she gve him an answer for

I dunno man, you guys in the U.S. act far differently that we Canadians do. A cop tells you something here, you do it...rightly or wrongly, if you don't your suspicion rate jumps to 100%

No...we do advise you follow orders. People get beat, tazed, and yes even shot for not complying.

But of course that involves a threat analysis.

I'm not LE, but it seems to me "calling my lawyer real quick" shouldn't raise suspicions too high or involve a taser.

Some LE, humans that they are...do want to raise the alert level and...suspicions, "what can we get THIS guy for!". Like I said they aren't ALWAYS your friend. Most others can be quite patient based on their threat analysis.

As much as we love our LE, FRs, and military, there's good and bad in every human endeavor.

Here in Florida it is legal to pass on the right...with some very few exception. Guess what...same thing for Wisconsin.

No you don't seem to understand I watch the video transcripted she never told him to put the phone away she told him to exit the vehicle.

Eventually he did not put it away he put it on the back of his vehicle which was a Jeep by the way not a bronco to video the incident.

So maybe you need to get your facts straight because all the cop shows you watched in Canada have done you no good your comprehension is poor and you should apologize to Rockport and Florida cowpoke.
