No, other people do and can't get out of the way and stay in the correct lane. If someone slows to 45 before they get on the exit, I am going around. If they try to merge on the interstate at 50 they are getting passed early as well. Those people are way more dangerous than me!

There was zero harm in the joke. It's funny. It will be taken differently. Take my interpretation: for instance:

Dak Prescott inherited his job from Tony Romo. Someone CBS hires or promotes will inherit his Romo's job. The irony of Romo losing his job to a successor equals 'He got re-Dak'ted™ !!!' for me. The loose similarity of events in both cases ends there, but that is still funny.

I do think some will take it as an exact analogy, though. I will be a buzzkill for pointing out that would be completely false by restating (for what feels like the billionth time) the actual past fact, along with what may be probable future event:

• Romo suffered an unforeseen preseason injury. Prescott was named as the starter as a result. Romo did not permanently lose his job due to job performance.
• Romo was stopped for an OWI and was caught on camera. Someone else may be named as lead color analyst as a result. Romo would not have permanently lost his job due to job performance.

^ This is still humorous. The guy is a multi-millionaire who could have easily avoided getting stopped by either having a chauffeur or grabbing an Uber. That is Darwin Award material BUT his job was not taken from him by his successor in either case due to his performance proficiency. He lost one job after getting hurt and his employer decided he was not getting it back. He may lose a second job because he got behind the wheel of his vehicle, got himself mired in a highly publicized (viral in fact) legal issue that media networks do not appreciate, and his employer may pink slip him for that, BUT not because of how well he did his job in front of a camera.

Some will see the difference and laugh. Others will not see the difference and laugh. In my opinion, it is a shame everyone cannot laugh for the same reason.

That’s probably a good point. We know we as player Romo didn’t really work at his craft. He’s now seeing players who weren’t even in the league when he played weekly I wonder how much preparation is hurting him?
