Possibly stupid question upcoming.

Ive seen that 25% of veterans are getting 100% disability.......is that revenue considered in the VA eligibility?......$4000 a month for a single person.

Ive also seen that approximately 35% of all veterans are now on some level of disability so I'm concerned that people may want to avoid getting damaged by serving the country.

Get ahead of the game and stay ahead. If you don't make enough money to do that, get a 2nd job. Pay extra on every payment. Shocking how much difference even 10-20 bucks extra makes over the life of your loan.

Save up for a down payment. Get the payment down to where it's affordable.

Get out of the convenience stores.

Find a woman/man who doesn't spend all your money.

Watch for sales and use every means to save money.

If you use credit cards, pay them off every month. If you're unable to do that, cut them up and stop using them.

Be careful w/ debit cards. Way too easy to buy a pile of junk when you fill gas. Cash is still king.

Great tips.

My car is paid off, I was ahead so much my next payment wasn’t due for like 2 years lol.

But to me, dropping money on cars is such a waste when I could be using those (let’s just say 400-800) dollars on something else besides a deprecating asset.

Although I anxiously await the start of the season I’m more patient this year. I think the team will get better with each day of practice. Time on the practice field seems to be more of a positive this year.
 
I only have the desire to watch 1 team and 1 team only. I wish Cyberball 2017 would hurry up and become a reality so I can watch the Cowboys 24/7/365.

Cowboys
Spurs
UT Longhorns football
Astros

In that order. To make a long story short, Cowboys are the only team I watch now.

All depends on what's important to you. If you manage your money correctly, including having a nice retirement account, buying a car is not a big deal. The depreciating thing is way overblown. Everything in your everyday life depreciates the moment you buy it, w/ a few exceptions.

If your car is still running well, then keep it. However, you must pay attention to the shelf life. Today's vehicles are known to start having issues after 80,000 miles. If you're not a mechanic, it'll cost a ton. Plus, I have no idea what you do for a living, but not having a reliable vehicle can cost you a ton in missed work. So, it really just depends.

I’m in tech, but I own a house and am single income so I don’t want to have a car payment if I can help it. Only 40k miles so nothing to worry about for the near future.

Obviously if you’re a (multi) millionaire then a recurring car payment isn’t a big deal haha.

Also pretty young so I haven’t saved for as long as some folks on this board. :cool:

40,000 is nothing. Now what I would suggest is to start considering going new when you start approaching 100 grand. Way too many trannies going out after 80 grand.
