The rising cost of quality edge rushers, wide receivers, and now defensive tackles is resetting the quarterback market. There’s only so much money left.

the thing is that you do not see anywhere NEAR as much money wasted on any other position as QB
so much goes to duds and JAGs its ridiculous
no other position has less correlation with production to pay as QBs

If Mayfield played for the Cowboys they would have a sb by now? Based on what? He’s had better teams and weaker divisions and can’t

I would say that,on average, Dak has had a much better surrounding cast than Mayfield over their entire tenures.

Agree. As the number of teams that gave big money to a QB that turned out to be average increases, other teams that kept their options open will be reluctant to hand out monstrous deals. Houston and Carolina are being cautious. Four or five teams are going to draft potentially good QBs in next year’s draft. Hoping they work out well during their rookie deal. It seems as if teams are considering alternatives to building a winning team. Big money is starting to go to other positions.

They won 7 games with Jameis throwing 30 picks lol…..just last year Baker had Egbuka, Godwin, Evans and young guys like TeZ and Bucky and White. In the worst division in football. You guys can’t give Baker the out of not having talent. It’s there.

You’re revising history. He was medically cleared after 6 weeks.it wasn’t a season ending injury. If Dak got hurt Romo was getting in the game. That’s not nature. I get it sounds better than Dak taking his job but it’s not accurate.
