The hype of Jaishawn Barham

Barham doing good as a rookie in camp is a good sign, however doesn't mean it translates this year to the real game. Does mean he as a future though. Remember last year Malachi Lawrence in camp kept being reported as unblockable and ended up not getting many sacks in the real game.

I bought into the Malachi Lawrence during last year’s training camp and I swore I’d never do it again.

So far, from everything I've heard, he looks to be very promising. Now, let's go out and get a proven commodity to add to the LB corps, and we're good to go.

Certainly off to a good start for the young man.

Hope he breaks the Michigan drafted player curse.

He's the second coming of Purple Drank himself, Rolando McClain.
Ha that guy. Could be a good comp. Ro could really play when he wanted to. If Barham has anything near his ability with a normal brain, we should be in nice shape.

Good to hear. Hope is always good.

But I’m going to wait until they start actually tackling against real opponents before making bold statements about a rookie 3rd rounder.

I’m not tapping the brakes - it’s just we aren’t even in the car yet.

I know.

1 out of 5?
I understand your point. The Cowboys haven’t been lucky with Michigan players but the rest of the league has done pretty well. Some players doing well within last few years:
  • Aidan Hutchison
  • Brandon Graham
  • Jake Moody
  • Blake Corum
  • Our own Rashon Gary
  • Nico Collins
I know I’m leaving some out.

Always tough "endorsing" or favoring a player let alone a rookie during off season/ pre-season.

He's another I've read good things about and hoping it's true.

But...we shall see, when the pads get tested a bit more.

A beast is a beast.

I don’t think the cowboys current defensive system is going to have much of a TRUE MLB. There’s only going to be 3 Lb’s on the field for like 15-20% of the snaps.

The rest of the time there’s gonna be 2 Lb’s on the field. And they’re also going to move down into 5 man fronts fairly often while in nickel as well.

Barham fits the role perfectly. He really does.
