1st padded practice takeaways

-Defense won the day
-Safety group was physical & great vs the run
-Holden & Revel I thought had nice days
-Lawrence & Gilliam got some nice pressure
-Dak to Ferg for a Red Zone TD was chef's kiss
-Starting D line did not allow much in the run game at all

When the offense lights the defense up, ppl wanna jump off cliffs and say the defense is still horrible, we're gonna suck on defense blah blah blah. You know what? I'm going to take this as a good sign about our defence. I still think our offense is very good, so, if our defence is beating our offense on the day in the first padded practice, then, that means that Parker has the defence shaping up to be a good defence. Let's go!!

That's why I mostly keep to my circle of cowboys fans on twitter to discuss real football with. This board full of trolls, toxicity, and people with incredibly low football IQ. And I hate it cuz the board wasn't like this when i first joined over a decade ago

I mean, I'd think there'd be some like me who are taking this as a positive for the defence? With how bad our defence was, this might be good news. Especially since it sounded like our offense was very good the day before and with how good it usually is. If our offense is still really good, which I think it is, then the defence beating them today might be good news for the team as a whole.

Ceedee has strong praise for Dow s and reports are Durant has been very sticky.

With Revel healthy hes starting to stack reps.

Not only that, but Justin Houston sounds like he was in good shape, and this was just the first full pad practice. I'm getting excited for our defence. I think the offense will figure it out, but if the defence is this good against our offense and forcing the offense to adjust, then that's great!!!
